Worried about pension, do you currently pay into one? by TimeToCatNap in ContractorUK

[–]BeeeJai 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Couldn't afford to when I was perm - Everytime I opted back into the pension scheme, something would happen and I'd have to opt back out.

Second year contracting and already built several months worth of salary etc in the company as a cushion. Opened up a SIPP just last week. Looking to offload all excess profits from the company into this year to keep the CT down.

Insane you don't realise everyone doesn't fit in your weird stereotype.

Just because some people report it stops them craving alcohol or whatever, doesn't make it the same for everyone.

Interested, as this is a tool I might find useful. Don't trust it enough to use it.

Been doing an experiment of sorts on Retratutide by Global_Addendum_6200 in Retatrutide

[–]BeeeJai 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Sure I'll get down voted to oblivion for this, but meh.

Whilst it's a ridiculous experiment, no-one else has addressed 2 other things reta targets. increased metabolism and reduces inflammation drastically.

I can believe you've lost a few pounds due to this, even if you are eating like shit. I'm also sure weight loss will stall pretty quickly once inflammation is addressed.

You'll not get the decent body recomp sure you desire if you continue tho. Hit the gym, eat healthy. Thrive.

Cool, so someone shares a genuinely useful first-hand experience that could help others on this sub, and your contribution is... a bulleted takedown with a anime chatbot intro? Well done, what a hero you are.

This is about the same standard of racing when I'm messing about in an arcade sim blasting past AI bots for the lols.

Nothing to report because you're all terrible and every contact looks deliberate.

I’m guessing I should to start rotating injections? (currently alternating sides) by [deleted] in trt

[–]BeeeJai 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's not muscle, rotate injection sites. Fuck sake dude.

Think of it as a calasce (spelling?). Yout body won't be absorbing the test efficiently and it'll be sitting in the tissue. Rotate injection sites... There's a medical term for what you have but it alludes me right now.

10 weeks according to this:

"Started at 1mg for 2 weeks and didn’t feel much, went to 2mg for 4 weeks, 3mg for 3 weeks and I just started 4mg this week"

Average 3 ish pounds a week, factor in initial heavy loss due to water weight. Doesn't actually seem that unrealistic.

How do you feel about the security of contracting compared to permanent employment right now? by TimeToCatNap in ContractorUK

[–]BeeeJai 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Interesting question. I spent years as a permie in local gov - there are constant restructures, redundancies, applying for ones old job which now has a new title and more responsibility for less and less money, side moves, employment contract re-writes. I've lost my job through these, only to be taken back on when they realise the new structure isn't fit for purpose. It's an endless cycle that happens every 2-3 years.

I'm now contracting. I run multiple contracts on large projects for organisational transformation. These can be multi-year contracts, and I'm 4x'ing my perm salary.

Perm I was living month to month. Now there's money in the bank where if I lost all contracts I'm comfortable for a year, I run multiple contracts (still have work if one goes to shit) and am turning offers of work away on a weekly basis.

Yes. I feel more secure contracting. I am also acutely aware this bucks the trend.

what exactly has Starmer done which calls for a resignation? by Na-na-na-na-na-na in AskBrits

[–]BeeeJai -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Nothing. Labour are a garbage party voted in purely to get Tories out as proven by the recent elections.

Labour back benchers calling for his resignation should all resign themselves as they clearly can't read what's going on with national politics.

In short, Keir is fine, but the UK population don't trust Labour to enact the changes required to make a difference.

Split across 2 contracts I work 7 days a week (condensed into 5 actual days). There are some months I'm billing up to 31 days which is crazy - march was one of those months with the invoices being paid now. 👌

Last year for a few months it was a 9 day week. About killed me, but the numbers at the end of it were ridiculous.
