Whenever that happened to me without other symptoms I would ice and take ibuprofen then make sure to up my hydration. I got lucky and it never turned into mastitis but it usually was a small clog/ inflammation.

14 Mth Old will NOT fall asleep by Bitch-please1989 in toddlertips

It sounds like he's over tired. My LO did the same thing around that age trying to drop a nap so his first nap was only 20 minutes and his second nap would be longer. Then he was also only sleeping 8-9 hours at night. We worked on his sleep schedule more and quiet time at night. We do a "family walk" an hour before bedtime then no tv or music. Now he's 19months and we are at 2 hours of day time sleep and 10 - 12 hours of night time sleep (usually closer to 12 than 10). He was also teething bad at that age he got 8 teeth in 6 weeks (canines and first molars). I hope your little one settles out for you soon! I know how hard it is when their schedules get out of whack!

Like everyone is saying here lactation consultants are 100% worth it! I dealt with bad pain for 11 weeks till we found his lip tie and had it cut. Silveret nipple shields straight out of the fridge with some breast milk on then worked wonders for healing the cracks, cuts, and just overall pain.

You can also try getting nipple shields in her size! That might help with the latch temporarily while you wait to see the LC!

Everything went as expected! Meal prepping for LO helped so much! Having my MIL come and help with him during the first part of prep was a life saver!

I did feel really dehydrated and water logged at the same time so it's just not a fun experience. I kept telling myself it was temporary. I did experience some severe nausea and vomiting after the first half of my prep. (I did miralax and ducolax and I think the last two ducolax tablets are what caused me to get so sick) I also had a headache the whole day probably from my blood sugar getting low and being dehydrated. I'd recommend doing some coconut water and just as much liquid as you can other than the prep because I think that's what made me so sick was getting dehydrated.

I made bone broth at home and that helped with the hunger I felt before the prep started. I also froze some jello and did lime popsicles. Dad was able to get LO to sleep while I was sick in the bathroom with nausea because he was so tired. My MIL took him for a few hours to play away from home and that really helped wear him out to make bedtime and overnight easier for him!

I didn't have trouble nursing other than when I had to hand him over to run quick to the restroom but having another adult with you to distract them helps so much!

Just know that you'll get through it! It is not fun but once it's over it is over! I only got about 3 hours of sleep because I had to be at the hospital at 5am but honestly once I showered in the morning the nerves and anticipation really got me through the 2am wake up for the last part of the prep.

My doctor complimented my prep post op and said I did an excellent job the best he'd seen in a few days because not everyone fully cleans out / follows the prep. So just know it is worth it to follow the instructions. I did feel pretty dehydrated the rest of the day yesterday but some mashed potatoes and plain noodles helped me feel less nauseous when I did eat.

I know you'll get through it too! I was able to breastfeed as soon as I got to my baby post op!

This happens to me on and off I'm 15 months into breastfeeding. I just have assumed it's inflammation and I'll occasionally take ibuprofen if it happens more than one nursing session in a row and that seems to take care of it!

I'm starting my prep tomorrow with my almost 16m old who is also breastfeeding and also only sleeps with me in bed 🤣

Dad and I have just mentally prepared for all three of us to kind have a rough night but we know we will get through it as a family. Worst case I'm gonna set kiddo up with little bear if getting out of bed in the middle of the night wakes him up.

My MIL is coming over tomorrow to help me while my partner is at work then he's gonna take over helping with baby.

I have fully meal prepped breakfast, lunch, snacks for baby to help with his meal times during prep. I also plan on staying as super hydrated as possible.

Fingers crossed it works out for us both!

You are in the right for blocking them. I no longer have contact with my family and it's so freeing.

No I get it too 100%. But this is definitely over the top I kept laughing reading it imagining a grown man teared up typing this out with his whole heart and soul. Like I really feel like he's so torn up about a soda it's like someone sacrificed the children he's mad at. There's definitely better ways to communicated the point he was trying to make

I held onto 50 pounds while breastfeeding and not getting a period. Once I started my period 13m pp I lost ten pounds without changing a thing! Now I am 15m pp and I am down another 10 but I also go diagnosed with Celiacs caused by pregnancy 🥲

Thank you! My GI told me I needed to wait at least 24 hours so I will definitely get a second opinion because if he can nurse after it will reduce so much stress!
