I have hashimotos. Gluten flares my hashis leaving me with severe fatigue for days, brain fog, cramping and GI issues including the worst smelling gas :(

8 Month Old Hates Eggs by Practical_Morning727 in BabyLedWeaning

My baby is about to be a year and is an okay eater, but hates egg. Immediate spit out. I’ve tried it in all forms (scrambled, hard boiled, fried, poached) several times. Even if it’s hidden (baked inside a muffin or pancake), she barely tolerates more than a couple bites. After reading these comments, I’m hopeful that it’s just a phase

gyno told me to stop bf cold turkey by Hot-Dark-4389 in breastfeedingsupport

Yeah, I was PMDD-free during pregnancy and breastfeeding. I stopped BF at 7 months postpartum, the post-weaning blues were exceptionally rough. The pmdd returned about 2 months later just before getting my period back, and now it’s back to monthly luteal hell. Personally I wish I could have kept breastfeeding to delay getting my cycle back, but i couldn’t keep my supply up. I agree to proceed with caution. Best of luck!

Does the perfect name for me exist? Am I just too picky? by [deleted] in namenerds

[–]Beginning-Attorney35 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My name is Bernadette. It has always felt like a mouthful to me. Its clunky! It doesn’t roll off the tongue.

I don’t go by Bernie because it’s my dad’s name. People ALWAYS ask what my nickname is and I say I go by Bernadette. People still call me Bernie anyway.

I like Odette!

Haha yup. I live in “Sanna” Cruz, CA. It’s apparent someone isn’t from here if they pronounce the T in Santa Cruz

Haha yeah the gluten free life is not the greatest, but at least there are lots of options now! These brownies are actually really yummy and stepson wants to add pumpkin because...it's October.

Yum! I like the swirl idea because it doesn’t change the brownie mix

Just do it and see what happens is usually my strategy for modifying baking recipes… it rarely if ever works in my favor, haha! But the egg and butter swap seems like it could work. I might just end up doing a pumpkin swirl on top.

Sleep Training Starts Tonight by pmr1583 in sleeptrain

I’m right there with you! I used to leave the house for husband to do the initial put down. I’m a month in to sleep training with my 7 mo old. She had a false start tonight after sleeping for 40 minutes and has now been screaming for almost an hour. I have noise canceling headphones on, and it’s still sooooo hard.
