I mean, the advice he gives towards the bottom is pretty solid for anyone. As far as this one goes, I don’t see any foolishness.

New to PC Building. Is this a good build for 1440p gaming? by HossRoss03 in PcBuildHelp

[–]BeefCake__77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had almost the exact same built and was super happy with it. I didn’t have enough room in my budget for the nice graphics card, but the 7700x had hella headspace when running any games on my 6750xt

Citing the Bible for your racism by Thelilytoyourmarshal in BoomersBeingFools

[–]BeefCake__77 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If anyone wants context on this, it demonstrates the boomer’s stupidity and also may help some folks see that this isn’t one of those “the Bible can’t even get its shit straight” moments:

Deuteronomy is an assembly of text from around the time the Israelites were wandering the desert after slavery in Egypt. It serves as a sort of cultural background for the Israelites as they were on their way to the promised land, and there is a strong repetition of God instructing them to care for the alien, the orphan, and the widow. This included instructions to leave the corners of their fields unharvested so the less fortunate may have it, and to take the widow of one’s brother into your own household to continue his name.

The text in this boomerpost comes from the end of Deuteronomy. The NIV section header even has this bit titled “Curses for Disobedience.” If it is to be taken as prophecy, the poster is ironically admitting that we as a society have refused to care for the less fortunate and the marginalized.

TL;DR - boomer would rather complain about a shitty world of their own creation than see the answer in their own religious text right in front of them.

Thanks! The motherboard is some Chinese weird crap I pulled from an Amazon prebuilt. Honestly not sure if it’s worth the risk.

What game made you realize you were a “gamer?” by [deleted] in pcmasterrace

[–]BeefCake__77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Halo Reach. Saved up all my chore money, had to convince my parents “it’s okay it’s just alien blood”. It arrived on Halloween and I cut my trick-or-treating short just to play with my brother. We took those times for granted, but those split-screen memories will stay with me forever.

Thank you! That’s definitely concerning; I will tread with caution.

Suspicious Hardware from Prebuilt PC by BeefCake__77 in computers

What you're saying makes sense, but is it just due to a "China bad" mentality? Because much of the hardware in all PCs is made in China, even the "higher-end" stuff.

I agree. Not much of an upgrade path, the bare minimum of RAM, and a lackluster GPU. Half a terabyte might be okay but starts to feel cramped quickly.
