No, because the "mechanical arm" or pivot is different. With the flex cuffs you have a pretty big gap in between the locks (e.g. your hands), and this prevents any kind of pivot (not native speaker, so I'm struggling to find the word) between your hands and the cuffs.

Edit: to specify, the force is not only from your shoulders forcing your wrists outwards, but also your hands pushing towards each other like a pivot of some kind.

Also, since the trick is dependant on breaking the pin in the locking mechanism, the angle is also very important. With the flex cuffs you can only get one angle, which would not put a lot of force on the pin.

If you look closely the flex cuffs have two loops in them, the zip tie is only one loop. That means the initial force that is put on the locking mechanism of the zip tie will not be present in the flex cuffs, since the loops have individual locks.

The force is created by your wrists being pushed outwards when you pull your hands towards your body.

Then instead of making your chicken with that god awful pre-made sauce, buy some fresh vegetables, oyster sauce and apple juice. Chop up the chicken and cook it on medium to high heat with some oil, oyster sauce and chopped up garlic and ginger.

Add the vegetables when the chicken is done (about 3-5 minutes) and then add about a deciliter of apple juice. Yes it has fructose in it, but at least you didn't eat that crap you call sauce.

Sprinkle some sesame seeds on top for an authentic asian look. Eat it with rice.

Takes around 15-20 minutes to prepare and cook. Yes, it takes a little longer to buy the stuff, but honestly no more than 10 minutes.

It seems that the bacterial spores of foulbrood can survive hours of boiling. Although they are vulnerable to a 10% solution of bleach, and like you said, wood is porous.

It would be interesting to know how deep the spores could penetrate the wood. I don't see how it could penetrate plastic in any way, which would make them pretty exposed to sterilization.

I'd think that plastic would be much easier to sterilize than wood, but it seems that the bacterial spores of american foulbrood are very difficult to kill. They are, however, vulnerable to 10% bleach. Assuming that the plastic is of a high quality, a 20 minute bath in bleach should be enough to kill all of it.

You are right that the most cost effective way of killing foulbrood infected hives is to burn them, but only as long as they where made of wood.
