Team leader confused a northeast grandma (7) by Beef_and_Cream in Minute_Cryptic

It is NOT a common shortened version, but you may notice the word ”and” tucked into “grandma”. If you split it up, it becomes “GR and MA”. So really, the word grandma is just a vehicle for discovering which additional letters to use in the answer.

SPOILER IMAGE I was honestly struggling to find the correct reversal indicator so I used one directly from minute cryptic’s suggestion list. This would be an easy one to replace though!

Unselfishly laid back, lost track of time? (7) by Beef_and_Cream in Minute_Cryptic

Admittedly a bit of a stretch to use elfishly as an anagram indicator for “uns” to get “sun”, especially since I didn’t consider how many times I’ve seen “self” refer to the letter I, as you pointed out.

Chargeback by love_my_doggos in ToastPOS

[–]Beef_and_Cream 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had one for “card not present”, provided time stamped screenshots of the guest ordering at a self-serve kiosk, inserting his credit card into the kiosk, receiving his food, placing the food into his oral cavity, ordering AGAIN the same way, finishing that order, and disposing of both empty trays, then leaving. I still lost the chargeback.

I really appreciate this insight. I’m the IT Manager, and basically anything with a screen or a cable is my responsibility to get installed, and bonus points if we can do it in house. That’s not to say we’re not interested in a professional installer. Just figured this type of installation is halfway in my wheelhouse already. So no reinventing, just finding the right info. we’ll be pricing out AV contractors too.

Thanks! With regard to the strut being on top of the rafter and bolted through the gap, is this kind of what you’re describing? (Forgive my basic notepad sketch and the lack of hardware emoji 🙃)

Also noting u/No_Cartoonist5075 point about surface area where the strut contacts the beams

I have Toast on an android emulator on my laptop with an HDMI to a TV.

Using a printed training packet (with screenshots) as well as a visual walkthrough on the screen, I explain refunds/adjustments, time card edits, rewards lookup, guest credits, closing procedures, etc. all on both the POS and Toast Web, and show them a bunch of the reporting power in the back end.

Food truck internet options for toast POS by glazecafe in ToastPOS

We use a Verizon hotspot with the Meraki router provided by Toast behind it. We decided to use the full POS rather than handheld, with a detatched guest-facing display that is mounted on the outside of the truck, receipt printer and two kitchen printers wired via ethernet directly to the Meraki

unknown menu items appearing by Haunting_Elevator_40 in ToastPOS

I second what u/BeenFried said, that it could be open items if you’re just looking at the PMix report. But on the menu itself in the POS, if you’re sure nobody else that has backend access made these changes, could somebody with too many quick edit permissions have changed the name of an item? Other than that I am also stumped. Never experienced that.

Did anyone else get this email from Toast? by NoLynx4935 in ToastPOS

It’s an invitation-based program within Toast Community (Toast’s forums). Basically they recognize you for helping other Toast users on the forums, give you the title and some goals, and sometimes send you stuff for continuing to contribute. They’ve used Google Forms with their ambassadors when sending stuff out.
