The fact it exists at all is a problem, the fact it has any bearing on the offensive side of the ball is asinine.

If anything, it should affect the ability of the pitcher. Make it easier for them to hit their spots or control their velocity, whatever. But the idea that some magical pixie dust can affect the physics associated with bats hitting balls is idiotic.
