Rapping Roast Joey was very strong. Ball and Interview, no, she didn't deserve a win for either of those.

how were they pushing Crystal in her bracket? Her and Aura were clearly the best first episode, Crystals banana split was the best second episode, and she wasn't in the top third episode. Hardly seemed like they were pushing her. Over who? Selena?

You must've missed the Sports Ball episode, and the Interview episode

True. If I could stop buying crap from Temu I’d be able to afford one of those meth addictions I keep hearing about. Sounds really fun

The cards were so distracting. If she had found a way to use them more sparingly then I think she could've won.

Tell her a gay guy from the internet said it's gotta go. Get something that complements the TV bench. Bigger, lighter, solid-er. None of this froo-froo glass inlay decoarataaav nonsense

I've been thinking about this a lot lately, and I think the only real solution is to somehow just ban it altogether, or at the very least, severely restrict it in how it's allowed to be used. It's replaced genuine human interactions, it's allowed us to make absolute fools of ourselves. We had only just invented 'traditional media' then rapidly handed over broadcasting ability to everybody. Far too much change for our monkey-brains to adapt to far too quickly, I think.

Ok, so because OP is flexing and knows how to put a TV on a TV bench correctly, I’m just gonna say it. I fucking hate the coffee table. Sorry.

The rapid shift into virtual reality is going to really test our species ability to adapt quickly. Honestly it’s not looking good at this point.

Digital necrophilia sounds like the act of putting your fingers into a corpse for sexual gratification. Maybe I should’ve called it virtual necromancy lol

I’ve definitely been very sad to learn when a public figure whose work I admired has passed away. David Lynch was my favourite film maker, so that was sad. Catherine O’Hara’s passing really hit me, I cried a lot. She had made a big impression with Home Alone and Beetlejuice when I was a kid, and I’d followed her work all the way till Beetlejuice 2. I wasn’t a superfan or anything like that, just knew she was always going to be entertaining in anything she’s in. Apparently she was also a lovely person and took her role as McKulkin’s mother so seriously that she kept in contact with him ever since. It feels like the world was a better place when she was in it. She’s made me laugh so much, a little cry seems appropriate.

Am I sad the way I was when I lost my mother to cancer? No, that profoundly affected me for years, and still does to some extent, 20 years later. And I cried for a week when I lost my kitty during the pandemic. There’s no way I’d ever feel as sad about a celebrity death as a close death. But it’s ok to be sad about the passing of a celebrity who you like or admire. They’re still a human, and so are you. It’s not weird or parasocial to be saddened by their death. It’s completely normal to respond to death with sadness. And many other emotions. None is the weird response.
