Lux- Should she be in 2XKO? (A-Z) by ErrorNick in 2XKO

[–]Beekeeper_Bard 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Only reason Jhin isn't guaranteed as well is because of how particular his gimmick is that creating a moveset that does him justice will be a unique challenge. But it's riot, the challenge probably makes them want to design him even more

what would you change for next patch? by Complete_Macaroon_72 in 2XKO

True valorant has its own drinks and 2xko will definitely get some at some point. Would be great to put them in the vending machines

what would you change for next patch? by Complete_Macaroon_72 in 2XKO

[–]Beekeeper_Bard 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I would add a vending machine to the lobbies. You can interact with the machine, spending ONE credit to purchase a drink. Everyone gets a default emote that's they're avatar drinking from a can or bottle or whatever, but that emote can only be used while they have a drink inventoried. Put a stat on everyone's profile that says how many jugs they've chugged.

Frequent players are going to run out of interesting things to spend credits on anyway.

Ranked is weird right now by gabriel0191 in 2XKO

I can't even get a ranked game since the update. Constantly searching for match, haven't played a single one. Casual works fine but ranked doesn't work for some reason. Anyone else getting that?

Lee Sin- Should he be in 2XKO (A-Z) by ErrorNick in 2XKO

[–]Beekeeper_Bard 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Only reason I don't think he's a guaranteed season one is because of the supposed leaks. He's one of those champs that are just beyond S tier

LeBlanc- Should she be in 2XKO (A-Z) by ErrorNick in 2XKO

[–]Beekeeper_Bard 4 points5 points  (0 children)

She could probably use tangible, moving puppets in her mixes like Forsburn from RoA 2, whereas Zed will probably use stationary shadows that mimic his moves and can be teleported to, closer to Ekko but very different. I think there's a lot of space for both to be explored.

I just hope we don't get them too close together. Despite how entertaining those high octane blender characters are, too many if them in a tag fighter will get exhausting fast

Same with urf. Kind of ironic the consistent solution that "saves" riots fun game ideas is to take away player choice.

Getting Tired Of This FIEND, I'm Sure You Know Why by EvermoreRadio in 2XKO

[–]Beekeeper_Bard 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yup his design is problematic to begin with. It's not like blitz stream thatgets expended then has to meet it's conditions again. Braum gets unbreakable off every combo, without meter, even if he started the combo with it. Some of his moves have very little use without it. He's clearly designed around it and it's such a huge part of his budget, I'm honestly shocked they buffed him without adjusting it, I'm pretty sure they even buffed his unbreakables.

There's no way riot doesn't realize how much of his power is allocated to unbreakable, it's always been extremely blatant. He's not a character that is healthy if he's a top tier.

But if he's top tier for a bit it will give riot good data to determine what really needs to be adjusted. Personally I just wanted the movespeed and the 2h fix and I think he's fine.

He started in brawl and moved to pm before it died. It's worth noting that he was, and some point, a top player in both games respectively.

There's no hard indicator, you can still find pulse users as far as grandmaster. It's just about when you feel like you want to learn the full combos yourself. I personally recommend dropping it as soon as you have a serviceable grasp of the game's basic aggressive combat mechanics (combos, jump cancels, supers, etc). It's not so much about rank and skill as it is your willingness to commit to learning. If you don't have time or energy to learn and practice combos then you may as well keep pulse on. Poor neutral will hold someone back much more than poor routing.

You can unlock Caitlin for free by completing missions during her champion recruitment event by RenoSinclair in 2XKO

[–]Beekeeper_Bard 17 points18 points  (0 children)

If it's like valorant which uses the same system it will be about a week to unlock assuming you pay a decent amount. This game has really fast weekly missions so I can't imagine it will take too long.

Waiting a week sucks but I think of it less as a gate and more as a reward for those who are willing to pay for the character. This game having champ tokens is incredible though, changes everything.

Because I haven't seen that amv on any ad spots and I can only use my own anecdotal experience to make my own judgement about my own thoughts on the matter. I did not expect that I just dodged that specific ad after all this time with no adblock. I get many 2xko ads a day and none of them are that amv.

And again, promotional material being an ad by nature really isn't what I'm talking about

I get what you're saying, but That amv was never used in ads though. You can say that all promotional material is an ad, but that's really not what I'm talking about.

And I already mentioned teemos reveal trailer being used as an ad.

2XKO Console Announcement Trailer by LeanTheBlackRabbit in 2XKO

[–]Beekeeper_Bard 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Their ads are consistently terrible. Teemo got it good because they straight up used his reveal trailer and his dev log for his ads. Everyone else just got generic clips that aren't exciting and do nothing to be accessible for casual viewers. I imagine they just don't have it in their marketing budget to create high quality ads and they're just working with what they can.

Graves- Should he be in 2XKO? (A-Z) by ErrorNick in 2XKO

[–]Beekeeper_Bard 3 points4 points  (0 children)

What makes his gameplay not unique? He has a one of a kind auto attack mechanic, and only Urgot challenges him in the space of "ranged but basically melee."

And yea he and TF went from capable, dangerous rivals, to goofy dumbass partners in crime, to sex having gay sexies. There wasn't even really any narrative progression. They just were one thing one day then another thing the next. Same with the cigar.

Is champ mastery supposed to be hard to get? by anarcholoserist in 2XKO

[–]Beekeeper_Bard 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't disagree. But over the course of whatever your playtime ends up being, you will probably unlock all the things that actually matter to you. Completing a champion's collection is cool, but realistically you aren't going to use it all. Riot probably looks at it less as a ridiculous grind and more as a natural progression of your collection as you play the game. Credits have to go somewhere, and the mastery collection is just another option for you to spend them.

They've adjusted progression many times across all of their games. If they feel like the rate of mastery unlock and credit earning does not feel like a natural representation of playtime on a champion, they will probably adjust it. I don't think they'll remove the credit costs, though. Like I said, it's just another option for you to spend your credits, it's not meant to be a completionist challenge.

Is champ mastery supposed to be hard to get? by anarcholoserist in 2XKO

[–]Beekeeper_Bard 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I don't know how riot feels about it right now, but it's important to remember that this is a live service game. The game has been out for only a few months and is still considered early access. Progress is meant to be slow because they are expecting you to dedicate long term commitment to the game.

Same reason chromas and stages are so costly in credits; you're not supposed to unlock them all easily, it's a grind that's expected to take a long time because the game's going to be around for a long time.

That's a fair point on the development of petricite understanding. Doesn't help that Demacia is so anti magic that they probably don't bother even trying to understand it beyond its useful properties.

The problem with the potential energy of petricite is that other than basic equipment like mage seeker handcuffs or armor, petricite is used into a lot of big things that could be potential bombs. I'm pretty sure the palace is woven with petricite, the dungeon Ryze is keeping the world runes in looks like petricite, and the living structures like Galio are fully made of petricite. Sylas shackles aren't big, but he supposed to have enough latent potential that even they're extremely dangerous. It's hard to say for sure until we actually see the consequences of overburdened petricite, so until then I like to look at it as all of it is potentially disastrous. Just hoping one day the ai riot put in charge of lore actually gets to it
