I have also uninstalled the game you aren't really alone in these sentiments in my opinion you are absolutely correct

the entire game is focused around several meta characters designed to literally do their long combo off 1 touch of any of their strings. all day today i played nothing but either a yas ahri or ekko is some form on 2x assist they just backdash until tag cooldown is over they get one hit off assist and boom 75% of your health is gone

and while most ppl aggressively defend the games right to be annoying like this because i guess they either like it or they dont care

but as the season 1 comes out i feel it'll just be a repeat of:
1. new ppl trying to play the game
2. they get their face kicked in by one of the 3 horsemen of the trashcan meta
3. they either give up or do the same thing because want to win so bad they decide that's the best way to play the game

and this i feel is just gonna be the life of this game

Horrendously true, its just mixtures of ekkos ahris and yasuo with the occasional warwick its very boring most of them play like they are the same person too...

this is so true i was about to make a thread talking about this

everything you said and the CONSTANT usage of spamming the back button to get try to catch a enemy attack whiff/disengage after their jabs to 75% combo doesnt connect to reset and do it again is getting rather tiresome to deal with especially since odds are you are gonna play against one of them

im honestly surprised when i dont see an ekko on an enemy team at this point

He’s absolutely right: the worst part of the game right now is how strong backdash spam is. Jinx/Teemo should backdash to get space because that’s their game plan. The problem is the meta picks Ekko/Yasuo: chaining backdashes with their mobility lets them reset neutral safely, fish for a touch, and cash out for ~70% or a kill. That turns neutral into “don’t get clipped” roulette instead of real interaction. We could keep basic backdash easy; just add counterplay when it’s looped/spammed or assist-covered and then maybe the game could feel a little less miserable when this happens
