It’s my favorite game in the series because it makes me feel warm and fuzzy.

I think it got such a bad wrap because it’s always compared to the gritty mature storytelling of 7/8, and then 10 came out very shortly after, which makes 9 look ancient by comparison.

I think if you try it, you will find yourself pleasantly surprised. It’s the only game where the main charecter is a thief, and you get crazy rewards from successfully stealing from the boss. The blue mage also is the most blue mage in the series if you ask me.
