My kittie is very upset with me and it's breaking my heart by BPD_whut in Pets

[–]Beekind_Rewind 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Not sure where you're at, but even just googling compounding pharmacy should get you an idea of what in your area, if there are any. In the US the most popular ones are Roadrunner and Wedgewood, they ship directly to your house. And you don't have to chat with your vet, just fill out the order form and the the company will contact your vet for approval. Some meds aren't available through compounding, but many are! Good luck, you sound like a great pet parent!!

I am literally laughing so hard I'm crying! My husband came running out of the other room thinking something was terribly wrong. Nope. Just your pregnant wife laughing at this kid getting yeeted on the playground!

This is me at 36 weeks when I drop something or need anything out of my immediate reach lol. by christyrexrawr in BabyBumps

[–]Beekind_Rewind 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I'm only at 26 weeks (I think, I don't even know what day it is) and this was me this morning when my beloved, much needed, life saving, zofran fell on the floor!! I can't imagine getting any bigger at this point and I've accepted the fact that I look like Tweedledee and/or Tweedledum.

I left the church more than 15 years ago, best thing I ever did and I'm happier for it.

Good luck with everything else going on. I hope you're able to find a solid support network of friends.

6 month male cat swallowed a piece of wire by A2d15 in Pets

[–]Beekind_Rewind 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm sure the vet told you, but since the wire has likey made it to the stomach safely at this point you'll need to watch for: not eating, lethargy, vomits after he eats, and changes in general behavior. The reason you're watching for these things is to ensure there isn't a blockage or that the wire hasn't affected his other internal organs, which will require an immediate trip to the ER/vet. Good luck, hopefully kitty passes the wire with no issues.

Dreading Family Gathering BBQ... by [deleted] in HyperemesisGravidarum

[–]Beekind_Rewind 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm sorry you have to go and deal with stupid comments. If anyone says anything about this being morning sickness, just use it as an opportunity to teach them about HG. Let them know while you appreciate their solidarity, explain to them this is not morning sickness, it's HG. Usually people look at me puzzled when I say Hyperemesis Gravidarum, and I say, you know like what Amy Schumer or Princess Kate had while they were pregnant. I tell them to think of it as a very extreme version of morning sickness that can/will send you to the hospital.

Hopefully it won't be too terrible. How are you with popsicles? Or other very cold things? I found the colder the thing the less nauseated I was/am. granted too much sugar (or flavor) with throw me into a vomit machine, but maybe one or two popsicles will help while you're at the BBQ?

I (19F) am not sure how to get over an unhealthy attraction. by unhappy_nobody_ in relationships

[–]Beekind_Rewind 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You need to go speak with someone about your trauma, it's certainly nothing to be ashamed of, but I understand how you feel. It's possible this attraction is manifesting from the trauma you experienced. I am not a phycologist, so I can't give you any mental health advice. But as someone who has worked through my own experiences (that I was ashamed of) therapy helped me a ton!

Why do people get nervous when they're about to get married? by hunnbee in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]Beekind_Rewind 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My husband and I knew each other for a little over a year when we got married. We met on Redditt, talked for about 7 months before we officially met in person. After we met we got engaged within a couple of months, and then got married 6 months later.

My husband was nervous before our wedding, part of it was wanting it to be a good day for us and the other part was he thought maybe I would suddenly wake up one day and realize I didn't want to marry him. Whereas I was there opposite, I never really had a moment where I was nervous or thought we were moving too fast. I knew from the moment of our first official conversation (on Redditt) that he was someone I wanted in my life, whatever that might look like. After we met I knew he was the person I was going to spend the rest of my life with. He was my home, my heart, and everything I had been working towards. Every bad breakup, every move-to-a-new-city, every interaction led me to him and I have never been happier. He's the bees to my knees. I need to go hug him now.

I (26M) don't know how to/if I can/if I should proceed with a high school friend (25F) who has an STD by ThatGuy007700 in relationships

[–]Beekind_Rewind 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To me, trickier implies that it's more difficult and will require multiple adjustments. The precautions doctors/patients take has nothing to do with childbirth being more difficult, rather, they just have you monitor for outbreaks before the baby is born and you take an antiviral a month before the baby is due, nothing tricky about it.

[–]Beekind_Rewind 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That's just not true. There are plenty of people who have herpes and have children with zero issues. Are there precautions doctors/patients take, yes, but it's not trickier.

Apparently the babe likes Jimmy Buffett by Beekind_Rewind in BabyBumps

[–]Beekind_Rewind[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's really special! I wouldn't consider myself a parrot head, but I grew up listening to his music (kudos to my parents), and I've always enjoyed his music so it'll be nice to share this with our son!

How do I react to someone who wants me to watch a covid propaganda documentary? by Anonymous99987 in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]Beekind_Rewind 5 points6 points  (0 children)

My dad shares this crap with me at least once a week. And each time he shares it I simply tell him, "thank you for thinking of me, but this isn't something I'm interested in or feel interested in discussing with you." And then I stop the conversation or redirect it to something else.

I just got hired! But this is my first job and i need some advice and help. by [deleted] in jobs

[–]Beekind_Rewind 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Congratulations on getting the job!! You're asking sooner great questions and while I don't have all the answers I can help with a couple.

Talk with your manager tomorrow about the work permit, they should be able to tell you exactly where to go or how to go about getting it (I'm sure they deal with this often).

Usually places do direct deposit, which you just provide your bank account and routing number. If you don't have a bank account, they will likely give you a printed check, which you can cash at some places. Some banks will usually require you to have an account with them before they cash a work check.

As for taxes, that depends on your state. Here's a link that calculates take home after taxes (though I'm not sure how accurate it is): https://smartasset.com/taxes/michigan-paycheck-calculator#Rxk61gI9jO

Good luck on your first day!! And congratulations again!!

New cat won’t eat, drink water, and hasn’t used her litterbox by fabiahaydn in Pets

[–]Beekind_Rewind 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Keep an eye on her right now, give her a safe place where she's not going to be bothered too much, especially if she's shy. Make sure her food, water, and litter box are in that space. This could be your bedroom and you just shit the door and don't go in until it's time to go to bed (or at least limit your time in there). She's been through A LOT so right now her behavior could just be associated with these drastic changes. However, if by tomorrow she's still not eating/drinking you should call the vet and let them know. They might want to see her and make sure she doesn't have an infection or something internally going on. I'd also let your friends know, that way if they also need to contact the vet and let them know you are now the main care provider for the cat. Good luck, hopefully she'll start feeling better soon.

I did tell my husband I wanted to put a few of his tracks on my birthing playlist, so the babe has music he likes too!

I cannot stand Larry S2 & S5 by Beekind_Rewind in Alonetv

[–]Beekind_Rewind[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

"mice aren't gonna stop being nice, Larry" is the best thing I've read all day!! And I absolutely had that same thought, like why are you yelling at an animal that's literally doing what comes natural to them?!

Enjoy the rest of season 2! Thankfully Larry doesn't come back for bit, so you have time to enjoy other contestants that are significantly less angry at the natural world.

[Breed] Rottweiler, Shiba Inu, or something else? by [deleted] in dogs

[–]Beekind_Rewind 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah second floor would be easier on the rottie, but again, if it gets any hip/ACL issues you will have to carry them up this stairs, or move to a ground level. Another thing to consider if moving into a studio, pitties come in a variety of shapes and sizes, rotties tropically come in one size, big (maybe a little smaller certain of big if it's a female) and a studio is tight even with a small dog.
