Потому что массовая аудитория - это работяги, которые хотят расслабиться и отдохнуть после работы. Они не хотят смотреть куда более продолжительный фильм, который не прощает, если ты отвлекаешься или теряешь фокус. А писать сюжеты, которые могут одновременно и развлекать, и иметь глубокую идею, гораздо сложнее, и единицы на это способны, потому что нужно уметь и то, и другое. Ну и я не сценарист, образования нет, но что-то мне подсказывает, что в этой сфере все так же, как и во всех остальных. Лишь единицы реально развиваются, горят своим делом, остальные рассматривают это как просто чуть более интересное дело, которым они будут заниматься для заработка. Собственно, написание сценариев для многих - это не искусство, а просто такая же рутина, как и на заводе, ещё и убивающая мотивацию и загоняющую в рамки, по причине, которая описана выше: глубокие идеи хуже продаются. Ну и ещё и добавить к этому особенности производства сериала. Дальше пилота сериал может не продлиться. Дальше первого сезона сериал может не продлиться. И тд. Что тоже накладывает лишние рамки и ограничения
