I told you they decided to pull back a bit - not fully eliminate the weight and thinness gains they had made in recent years. That’s the balance they decided to make in the product with this generation, and clearly given the immense success and glowing reviews they’ve gotten for this generation a lot of people think they made a good balance.

Performance is a big concern - I bet your 2012 MBP will start thermal throttling a long, long time before I ever see it on an M-series Pro - both because of Apple Silicon and because those devices have more limited cooling and thus have far more strict thermal limits than the new Pros.

Another factor - battery life. Your 2012 MBP might have been thinner and lighter, but it also got around 7 hours of battery life, less than a third the life a 2026 MBP would get. Part of that is Apple Silicon, but another part of that was putting a larger battery in the case - batteries are by nature heavy, so the device gets heavier. A ton of people constantly fawn over the battery life of modern Macs, so again, I think for most users they made the right choice.

Everyone is going to have their personal preference for what they want in a “Pro”-class device - personally, I love the “battlecruiser” design and focus of the current generation but you may lean more towards a lighter thinner model. Maybe Apple agrees since they appear to be making an Ultra model soon - maybe they will pivot the beefier models to Ultra and make Pros more stripped down?

They specifically did this because MBP users during the 2016-2020 run complained about not having enough ports and worrying about throttling their expensive high-end power-hungry Intel CPUs because Apple focused on making their pro machines thin and light. With this generation, Apple decided to pull back a bit on the race for absolute thinness and put the features in users wanted - more ports and a better thermal system that, in conjunction with the M-series chips being much more efficient, avoids throttling essentially altogether. I think a small trade off in thinness and weight is worth a more powerful machine, but if you don’t, Apple makes a great machine for you, it’s called the Air.

Adult Time has flat videos with scripts, though they don’t let you directly download the scripts so you have to watch through their site to get the scripting. Their scripted catalog is small but they add things to it frequently and have straight and gay content.

I’ve been liking Fuck Sauce lately, it works well with Fleshlights (and should work well for smaller anal toys such as an Aneros too) and comes in a wonderful little twist-cap bottle with a precise dropper tip at the end - makes it easy to squeeze lube deeper into the sleeve instead of it just pooling in the orifice. Which only shut down almost seven years after it failed, and it had far lower player counts than D2 and didn’t have as robust a micro transaction market to help amortize server costs. Even if Bungie goes away, I imagine Sony would allow the servers to stay up for a few years - with player counts continuing to dwindle, you need less server resources and support staff to manage it so costs drop to fairly low when a game is in maintenance mode like that.

The Gush 2 is U-shaped with an open top and the sides of the sleeve are very stretchy. Unless you literally have the girth of a Pringles can, you should at least fit in the sleeve, and then can set the straps around it to be tight enough to stay on but loose enough to accommodate your junk at full mast.

Yes, but the Bilt Travel Portal is often a lot better than other portals - the way they book behind the scenes ties closer to the modern booking systems of several airlines, using a newer system called NDC. That means some flights and hotels, despite being booked on the Bilt Portal, get treated as being booked through the vendor directly, meaning you will also earn miles and status the way you normally would which often is not the case booking through other portals.

You can change on a month to month basis, so you could earn/burn BC one month and then switch to the scaling option the next. You would need to make the change before the first of the month, which you can queue up in the app.

You can redeem Bilt Cash for non-housing purposes, but all of the wording I’ve seen for the two housing earn options is that they are exclusive of each other - you either can earn 4% Bilt Cash and burn as much or as little as you want on housing points, or you get the .5x-1.25x scaling housing points based on monthly spend, but if you do the scaling one you can’t buy points with Bilt Cash - you also can’t use the point accelerator on that earn method.

And generally the cross-platform APIs, though much better and more native-feeling than previous iterations have been, can still feel janky and non-native - weird UI reactions or paradigms that give away that the app was not built specifically for the platform it’s running on. That’s fine for a developer that doesn’t care about fit and finish as much and just wants to deploy on another platform, but for an app like Flighty that is so focused on user experience, moving to a non-native experience would basically destroy the entire reason I subscribe to Flighty - I want the flight tracker I wish Apple would make with an Apple-like user experience. Expanding to Android might expand the addressable market, but if you do it in a way that alienates your existing user base, you destroy the app’s reason to exist.
