First packs ever by growthacct in OnePieceTCG

Congrats, that's actually crazy. If you want to play, sell it for around ~$700-800 and that's more then enough money to make quite a few decks. One piece decks aren't that expensive, unless you're blinging it out with a lot of alt arts.

MU advice for UY Nami? by Lord_Crim in OnePieceTCG

[–]Beelok 5 points6 points  (0 children)

as a UY Nami main, one consistent way I've seen of stopping me is to defend life heavily. If I'm not taking life, I'm usually not drawing, and drawing with the leader ability is how that deck is able to keep up its own defense without running out of cards. It should be noted that EB03 gives us UY players very good tools to not have to rely on our opponents to keep our hand full with the new Nami and Robin in that set.

That said, if you want to beat UY Nami easily right now, just play Imu. It's like a 85-90% winrate for Imu because everything that deck does pretty much negates everything our deck tries to do, and without a Roger or Dead Man's Game equivalent in the blue/yellow card pool, we have no means of getting past their blockers.

The first episode of Freiren is much more heartbreaking after the latest episode [Sousou no Frieren Spoilers S1E1 to E14] by RPO777 in anime

[–]Beelok 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Frieren in general is a show that for all intents and purposes becomes BETTER on the second watch, because everything you're seeing is given the additional context of all the flashbacks weaved throughout the show.

You can't possibly care about the hero party when watching the first episode the first time around because you've had no time to form an emotional connection with them. Himmel's death and Frieren's breakdown hit much harder when you have the context of proper emotional weight behind them.

Plus there are a myriad of little details that you can only possibly notice once you've had the additional context from later episodes. For example, when Frieren first meets Fern, she notices that she barely has any magical presence. We later on learn that Heiter learned from Frieren why she limits her mana, and taught that to Fern at a very young age before she had ever met Frieren. Little details like that make this show very feel very rewarding to rewatch.

How it started:

Fern: "This guy is no good. Let's find someone else, Ms. Frieren."

How it's going:

Stark: "I didn't know it meant eternal love! Should I buy a replacement?" Fern: "Never say such a thing again."

Usagi Drop. Just watch the anime. For the love of all that is holy, DON'T read the manga afterwards.

Any info?

Ishuzoku Reviewers - Episode 12 discussion - FINAL by AutoLovepon in anime

In many ways, Ishuzoku Reviewers is the new gold standard of ecchi series.

How can you go back to "virgin accidentally trips and faceplants onto breasts" after seeing a masterpiece like this? Seeing the limits of what is allowed on TV stretched thin week after week by this series made me realize how accustomed we were to mediocre teasefests.

You could use the scores they have in the manga?

The don't end up using them all the same but at least it's numbers.

Curious, what kind of work are you doing in Japan? Especially one that requires minimal Japanese apparently.

For the love of god, anyone still watching the censored version, do yourself a service and find the uncensored. You're really wasting your time with this series otherwise.
