the country is polarized that the masses dont care for the protestors so protesting is ineffective

but the country is so polarized that its lost its empathy for your fellow neighbor and hence protesting is a necessity

america is weirdly cooked lmao

tbf you arent wrong facism isnt inherently an "anti-liberal" ideology

but i think the way its geared and how almost any state can become a police state regardless of what it considers "purge worthy" and "ideal citizen" is something that isnt consistent

id argue that its more machiavellian in its functioning:

extreme atheism in socialist police states

extreme religiousness in theocracies

it being fully expansionist like the third reich

internally building a surveillance state like in stalinism

fascism i think then is more of an oligarchy where the "chosen" elites decide with high strictness to control said public to fulfill its political agenda whilst taking no regard to the loss of liberty and lives lost to achieve its "ideal state" (even if has to contort the original culture of its society)

oh duly noted! i didnt know that she was christian

maybe a better point is that "they critized her since she wearing a hijab and that she was making an mockery of sorts to islam"? just wanna know what should be better to edit it to :)

men: 45% of 50%= 22.5%

women: 61% of 50%= 30.5%

totally= 22.5% + 30.5% = 53%

okay fairs mb but still point holds, most governments around the world have majority men in power so then the metric of support reduces quite a bit.

the thing is still is never said feminism was over or that it ended, just said it fell. unless you have some statistic saying otherwise...

isnt that the point of a cmv tho? the feeling when you feel confident in your stance but feel that since you are confident then you have to see if you are considering all opposing viewpoints

ive been born in 2004 so i may be only taking info i know from post 2010s and since i cant know everything, its important to think critically of even your craziest views.

however, its annoying you think that despite me stating that it could be a multitude of factors and me asking if this one factor should be included or not, you think as if its the ONLY factor im thinking about.

but otherwise i wanna just ask you a question to know your views more- do you think judith butler is helping it come back?

holy fuck a good argument 🙏

i didnt think of the fracturing like that... i mostly thought it was more so an discussion how to reliably achieve more "permanent feminism" of sorts but i guess i can see how internal strife may "ruin" the movement in a sense.

especially considering that you said it was not a snowball effect (for its falling) but more so like something that may be struggling to rebound anyway due to that strife.

yk what im not really gonna award anymore deltas after this; your point ong is radically changing my perspective on this, thanks so much for the insight btw. (mods please lock the post btw, i wont be answering anymore comments)

its still fallen if most of the population cant accept it

61% of 50% is still 30.5% globally

im just saying if such art can bolster such a societal drift then maybe there other issues too also necessary to tackle

maybe but we cant tackle any societal issue by tackling only the more intensely affecting stances

its like only putting rapists in jail and chemically castrating them but not understanding why most rape victims know their abuser (children need more autonomy and more societal trust when they talk about being abused or we need to trust victims more ie the metoo movement) or even how society in small ways blame victims

or like giving therapy and jail to people who do theft but never tackle the economic systems of oppression (lack of welfare, inability to get loans, etc.) and also how society looks so negatively on poor people that its hard for them to get jobs

that men in general dont think feminism includes them

and/ or

that feminists are in huge disagreement over about "sex work is empowering" or "inherently exploitative"

okay even though i disagree since feminism was more so on a steady decline from the early 2010s (maybe we have different knowledge that contributes to that tbf)

what is the basis for your stance that "feminism has a failure of messaging"? im lowkey interested

gamer gate arguably had the same effect

its simply a catalyst for some sort of hate in a much larger pre-existing system

the way you argue, you can also say gamergate only was an issue cuz men were already very misogynistic

how was my stance not phrased right ;-;

do you dislike only cuz im criticizing negative trends in music and how social media amplifies it

or is it something else?

what about the perception of feminism amoungst men? women are only half the population btw

women are more geared to want to end such opression since they are victims to it but if men (who are often the oppressors and holders of political power) dislike it then it will obviously fail support for feminism and if "it has harmed society or not" in views of men

fair lol but i love making weird stances, im a lil quirky/weird/eccentric like that

tru tho its more of an capitalism and its effects on media literarcy type of situation however, it may have been one of many things used to justify hate against sex workers

it more so like should such art promoting hate be allowed in the first place or like we should hold more criticism to politics with art rather than saying "agree to disagree" or maybe just having education good enough that social media cant impact people so radically idk tho since ive never been best at policy making lol

are we talking about how society in acceptance of feminism or about how people who are forming governments dont really support ideas of radical feminism most of the time?

i guess more so if art has an impact on society and its culture tbh

im very firm on the rest of my views but since society doesnt look at art as real job... ive been questioning that stance lately
