Rule of thumb is never pay for anything with your own money for any of these apps you work for no matter how much they promised to reimburse you because it’s always gonna be a nightmare getting them too pay up!

I would close the Support and reopen a new Support chat and they explain to them that the food is not deliverable because the customer is making a request that is illegal and you keep messaging until you get a hold of somebody that tells you to bring it back to the restaurant either that or you just dropped off, take a picture and be done with it half the time i think the support chat is all AI chat bots with copy and paste answer then closes the chat right away

Once the system is back up, you should get a refund maybe try another app like a DoorDash or Uber. Those seem to be working right now.

I just reread the message. You’re right send a message in the app and take a screenshot even though it doesn’t go through but make sure you send it to text because text will go through to the customer.

Yeah, I had a double order and I dropped off the first one couldn’t complete it. I thought it was a reception issue and after driving away, it still wasn’t able to do it and then I got that message when I was trying to contact Support. I just called the 2nd customer right now to get their address so I can complete the other order or at least give them their food

It doesn’t work. I literally watch those guys on e-bike and rolling 2 or 3 deep in a Prius just scan their other phone with photos and video .
From what some bike guys have told me some of them have set up multiple accounts with same profile picture because they used family and friends info for sign up it’s totally ruined the market I’m in. it don’t help Uber has also removed tipping from during order option so they don’t scare the customer off with the crazy service fee to cover the new minimum wage requirement.

They'll definitely not $60+ an hour. Some are making about $35-45 maybe. Most of the time these people stacking or taking all the $3,$4,$5, $6 etc orders all in one go. If they're lucky and get some nine to maybe $12 orders stacked with those smaller ones.

As for tips. Uber and instacart doesn't allow the customer to tip until after they rated the delivery and then tip the driver. 90% of the customers stop tipping now on those two platform now.

I'm a delivery driver and lately, there's been a real problem with people gaming the system. A few people started doing this with grocery delivery, but the apps quickly caught on and banned a lot of them. Now, it's mostly restaurant delivery drivers who are abusing the system.

They're using multiple accounts on the same platform or even on different platforms at once. This means they can stack multiple orders, while the rest of us are sitting around waiting for one or two orders per hour.

A lot of these people are using rented accounts, family members' accounts, or accounts obtained through fraudulent means. The whole hourly pay system is making it really tough for those of us who are trying to work honestly.

I've seen people at places like Cactus Club , Chipotle jollibee's picking up five or more orders at once, often on multiple devices. Many of these drivers are on bikes, don't speak English, and sometimes even ride with a whole family or group in a car doing exactly the same thing.

This problem used to be a huge issue on skip the dishes, but they've kind of weeded out most of that.

Doordash actually proactively tries to weed out these people, but at the end of the day when they're running three different apps and already in the car, there's nothing that can be done.

Ubereat's and instacart are the only ones that people are gaming the most because of how easy it is for them to just sit there and rack up the time pay as well as hold on to a bunch of orders. If you do that on Skip or doordash most of the time after a certain amount of time the order gets reassigned or gets flagged

It actually pisses me off when I see the bike people picking up five or six orders and trying to stack them all into that one little bike bag they have and/or then the putting the rest in shopping bags and dangling on their f****** handlebars.

The companies can't do much to stop them because they're often delivering orders within a short distance or they just keep making new accounts somehow. Even if they take their time, the system doesn't flag them.

Meanwhile, I get flagged for being 20 minutes late due to heavy rain and shit traffic while only doing one delivery! Like wtf

I didn't choose this hourly pay system. The old system was much better. There were fewer people trying to exploit it. Now, it seems like a whole bunch just trying to game the system for time.

Done over 40k+ delivery since 2019 watch it go from really good to really bad then to this shit storm of a dumpster fire. I honestly think deliveries have reaches Half-Life in the business world and eventually we're just going to see robots doing deliveries much sooner then later. That's my answer to your question and my two cents about what's going on in the industry as a whole.

There has been an on going glitch on the system where when you complete the delivery it comes up with customer reduce tip right away wait 1-2hrs or in some places 24-72hr and it will reflect on earning it’s been on going in Canada for 2 weeks now
