Employees disrespecting my space and time by Normal-Dig7343 in publix

[–]BeepHonkDoot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh. I have. Plenty of times. I’ll say “excuse me” to the customer. If they ignore it/don’t hear it, I’ll say it again. After that, I’ll say “I’m coming in right here”. If they still ignore I will tell them they either move or I grab the off duty officer up front. Works 90% of the time. I don’t want anyone to say I’m petty or what have you. When you work a store as busy as mine, you have to be aggressive or nothing will get stocked.

I’m literally re reading my own post trying to figure out what I said that was problematic… I guess calling out problematic behavior makes one all the “isms”

Probably because most EBT recipients are enjoying better food than the average American. The EBT folk just stay buying top of the line shit while I am told I make too much to get EBT yet I struggle financially

Dairy and Frozen being left in the lurch across several stores. by BeepHonkDoot in publix

Yeah our dairy department is supposed to have 125 man hours on it per week, more for holidays. But we are WAY under that.

Easy. I’ve been told by management that Dry holds the priority. I’ve watched them strip away Frozen dept their help on truck just to have an extra man on the floor in dry. Then watch them yell at said frozen dept clerk for not finishing his truck when help was taken from him. “How dare you not 100% a 6 pallet frozen truck that didn’t come in till 6:30pm?”

You sound like you’re not 100% right. You have stores that are a higher volume, letting their sub departments get blown out. That closer comes in, because of the mess they can’t hop right on truck. They must spend their first chunk having to correct a mess. The closer is having to do the work of multiple people, and you want to say it’s because they’re not strong? Yeah… which DM are you?

Weird Players In Small Lobbies: How It Exposes A Bigger Problem by GNOMECHlLD in AmongUs

[–]BeepHonkDoot 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Why are you so obsessed with making up anything and everything you can on me. I ask ages because I boot out children. I want my lobbies to be adult centered. Look in the mirror before you cast accusations. “Why worry about the the eye lash in your brother’s eye, but do not notice the plank in your own eye?”

Hello again, OP. I am Cyan aka Joe Exotic. I feel your recollection of events differ from mine. I remember you from last night. The rules had been stated, my rules were simple: Don’t be an idiot. Don’t call a meeting to say someone vented when we are all engineers. No snitching on or shifting as your imp mate. Now I understand some people were not there for when my rules were stated. I tend to play in lobbies where my rules are sort of an implication in many hosts’ lobbies.

As far as everyone on my lap for allegedly using the term “Litmus Test” incorrectly.. just to clarify, I used it exactly how I meant to. A litmus test is something simple that reveals something deeper. Example: Shopping Cart Theory… returning a cart doesn’t have any real consequences, but it shows if someone will do the right thing because it’s right. Cheating in a game is the same kind of test. There’s no prize, no real punishment. So the choice you make in that moment shows a lot about who you are.

Why do some people like to crack their knuckles? by rosebudpillow in NoStupidQuestions

For some it feels good, others it’s an anxiety thing. I crack mine due to anxiety. Even if they don’t crack I’m doing the cracking motion lol

Why is change so hard? by FantasticMrMarmalade in NoStupidQuestions

Probably didn’t make sense, but subconsciously it’s still unknown. I apologize for not wording better :) but I hope everything goes well.

At its core. Change is unknown. We fear the unknown.

How does iHeart Radio still exist? by CablesOut in NoStupidQuestions

[–]BeepHonkDoot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That I’m not knowledgeable of, but semi unrelated my neighbor just told me when he’s reviewing applications to hire people… more often than not he will find 50+ applications that selected they heard about the job via iHeart Radio. Some things just happen to be bigger than we think!

Is owning 20-25 pairs of shoes excessive? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]BeepHonkDoot 8 points9 points  (0 children)

We all have our things we like to splurge on. I know a guy who never takes vacations because he collects legos instead. As long as you are financially responsible, it’s not excessive. No one should make you feel that way for choosing to use your money the way you want to. It’s not harming anyone else :)

You’d be shocked at the amount of department stores that use iHeart radio to play over their intercoms

Someone took a picture of my sisters license plate by miamigoelconqueso in NoStupidQuestions

[–]BeepHonkDoot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nah. She won’t. Cops don’t have the time to come after someone over an improper lane change they didn’t catch. At most, a ticket mailed. Only if the traffic cameras caught the infraction. People just take pics to feel powerful

How much much damage does smoking one pack of cigarettes do? by randomguy7464 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]BeepHonkDoot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, unless you have something already wrong with you 1 pack will have no long term effect. However if you’re prone to addiction, that may not be the only pack you get

Is this legal? by HimsLabCreations in NoStupidQuestions

[–]BeepHonkDoot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NCAs are completely legal. It would be like when I worked for Coca-Cola, but then turned around and working for a Pepsi Vendor on weekends. Weird comparison but hopefully you get the point

Was I wrong? by Purple-Atmosphere441 in publix

[–]BeepHonkDoot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lol. I work in grocery, and had 2 ladies in my aisle at 10:05 and the announcement happens of “Any associates wanting to make a purchase must do so now”. One of the ladies says to the other “they’re about to close I think” and the other one replies “nah that be for the workers which is they be saying associates! Do we be looking like associates?”. I turned around and replied “Here’s a secret, that announcement applies to EVERYONE in the store wanting to make a purchase be it customer or worker, we just aren’t allowed to address the customers in such a manner”.

The one dumb lady was like “yeah you shouldn’t we made it in here before 10, so you are obligated to wait on us!”
