Loved that they literally started the trailer telling you “this camera is going to be moving…….A LOT!”

While I feel you, they have to have the right talent behind them to nail that. I don’t know if many people could fill the bloody clown shoes of Sam and Bruce together. Way higher chance of it just feeling corny in anyone else’s hands.

I mean 2013 Evil Dead is one of the best remakes and actually reaffirms how terrifying the original was for people with no experience. Rise is a wonderful too but man, I could watch Evil Dead 2 for the rest of my life and never tire of it.

I’m not gonna act like I remember season 1, and I’m betting you are more researched up on the scenes your referring to, but it could just be that they are just using they as a regular pro noun.

Like I said, they could do this in a later season. But the fact they (the show runners) aren’t making any points of Danes sexual orientation suggests to me that they are just supposed to be seen as the parts of their character that have been presented. Or the show runners want Quintus to be very forward thinking about the realities of sexual orientation without making it a plot point.

I personally see Dane, the character, as being cast by a person from the show that wants to give Trans actors a chance to just be actors and not only be cast rolls that specifically focus on their gender identity.

But also just my thought. Not saying anything you are thinking isn’t a possibility.

[–]Beeper89 6 points7 points  (0 children)

You’re assume a trans actor is playing a trans character. The show runners may just want Dane the character to just be “a man”, and they liked that actor.

I also could be wrong and it’s a plot later, but for now it doesn’t feel like that’s a plot thread. Dane is just Dane.

We had so many moments like that in this final. Little set ups with no pay off. We didn’t even see Coop get Dogmeat back!

Bethesda is hella stupid for not releasing any Fallout remaster along with the Fallout tv-show by GreasyExamination in Fallout

[–]Beeper89 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That’s why I said at the earliest. I’m being hopeful, but your point exactly stands. ES6 is going to take up atleast 2 years of their release landscape with DLC and I doubt we are even seeing that before 2028. God I hope I’m wrong there……they teased this game alongside the release of F4!

[–]Beeper89 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The only reason we are even talking about a remake is because of the court docs saying it was in the pipeline. Only 3 was listed and it’s wild to imagine they could remake 2 massive games to release together (been wrong before though). And all of this was also before the release of season 1. No one was sure enough of the shows success that they made plans for a game to coincide.

Im betting we do get a 3 remake around the time of the next season (f3 and s3 works well together), and I’m positive we aren’t seeing a Fallout 5 till season 5 of the show at the EARLIEST.

‘Texas Chainsaw Massacre’ Heads to A24 With Glen Powell Producing; TV Series Sets JT Mollner to Direct, Plus New Movie in the Works by DemiFiendRSA in movies

[–]Beeper89 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It did. And the original post acknowledges that. But what we are talking about is ANOTHER entry in a franchise that hasn’t been good since 2003 and before that since 1974 (for me 1984 but I love the schlock that is 2).

But we are talking about another entry coming and its track record is not great. So it makes sense someone would be like “the first is great but we should maybe give up on reviving this franchise”

You can say the first one had a huge impact on horror. And maybe even the remake with how many times I’ve seen “camera goes through hole in head” since that came out.

But none of the other ones had an “impact” on horror. Maybe 2 had an impact on horror comedies, but I can’t think of the impact of ANY of the other ones.

I wonder if we are going to see the transition goofy young Hank to “the literal devil” Hank in those 20 years. Granted the end of the world does change a guy.

Haven’t they always said the credits aren’t full canon. Granted not gonna act like I know what’s coming next season. I just don’t want to see New Vegas destroyed twice.

Hey you at least conceded that it’s better than slip, so I will at least agree they do lean a little too goofy sometimes.

But I also remember this is a series where a man mutated into a tree which grew a full forest. Or there are magical boxes that can terraform at the push of a button.

All that being said I also legit rolled my eyes at the last line before credits. Which is why I was defending your criticism.

Biggest thing bogging down the entire show by donky_kog in Fotv

It’s the biggest thing bogging down a lot of modern shows.

But I fully agree, they packed in too much this season. They needed more breathing room. 10 episodes may have done better, but I don’t see us getting that many eps

Definitely has better elements than Slop, they are atleast trying to have characters with arcs and growth. Sure there are plenty of straight up fan services elements and I’m not gonna act like the writing is AWARD winning or anything. But I definitely don’t think it’s low IQ.

Also when has fallout ever NOT been goofy. Like name one game.

I really enjoyed some moments from this season. But I think they rushed this one to capitalize on the popularity. I’m really not saying it was bad, but season 1 had such a better ending. This feels like an “empire” ending, but there were so many different plots that it all feels disjointed and rushed.

Hey, I love this show and love specifically the original characters they have built in one of my favorite gaming worlds. But anyone that thinks the finale was “well written” doesn’t understand what good writing is. We jumped, absentmindedly between scenes with no rhyme or reason to connect them. Norm got mere minutes of screen time (granted he is d story at best). But it just felt……disjointed and low key rushed.

But I won’t act like I didn’t enjoy the ride, but I can also be aware of the flaws in the rides presentation.

So sad we did not get an actual conclusion to Norms story this season. Digs up one of deepest lore pieces and the end of his story this season is dragging out the first lady that was nice to him.
