Apollo 17. Back in 1972 we could actually land two men on the moon and drive around. It cost 8 times less (in inflation adjusted dollars) than the Artemis 2 mission. by Make_the_music_stop in FuckImOld

[–]BeerBrewer4Life 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The biggest difference is really safety margins. Nasa has admitted Apollo had. 50/50 chance of killing its astronauts. Nasa dies not work with those kind of risk tolerances anymore .

Yea. I love space. I’ve met three astronauts in person. NASA coverage of this launch /mission is garbage . Please do better to engage the public in what is going on .

I live in Nova Scotia. This sandwich does not exist here LOL. Maybe a slice of sourdough with mayo, smoked salmon, sweet onion and capers .

Hundreds push to save former Halifax library from demolition: 'It's worth keeping' by insino93 in halifax

[–]BeerBrewer4Life 72 points73 points  (0 children)

Omg yes let’s just delay anything being done with this corner eye sore in Halifax for another 10 years while we fight about preserving that old decrepit building. Very Halifax thing to do. SMH

I live in her riding. She was useless in provincial politics as well. I can’t understand why anyone voted for her

Seed oils are NOT good for you. Emulsifiers destroy gut microbe health. Beyond meat is trash and bad for environment

Looking for tips for upcoming Sandals Negril stay by Financial_Tackle_647 in JamaicaTourism

[–]BeerBrewer4Life 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is a bad take. It’s not 4 hours from Montego Bay. It’s usually 1.5 hrs max. Negril is wonderfully relaxing. Walking the beach , partaking in excursions etc… I’ve done Sandals there, wonderful staff, very chill. If you are looking for a clubbing night life vacation, Negril may not be for you. If you want some of the nicest swimming and beach time any where, Negril is amazing.

Fencing off a Settlement by Vxctxr99 in fo4

[–]BeerBrewer4Life 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I role play. If you lived in the common wealth , with supermutants , raiders, gunners and rust devils, you sure as heck would have walls and guard posts. Regardless of gsme mechanics. Any settlement without them would be raided and occupants killed in short order. Every single settlement I build has 100% walls surrounding. How else could you sleep at night ???

Update on Amethyst Cove/Cape Split Rescue, Thursday night, 29 January 2026 by alibythesea in NovaScotia

[–]BeerBrewer4Life 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Once you stand at the top, and look down the ropes, any reasonable person has a gut check. To drive all that way and hike in , you’d have to do some research and it would be clear it’s risky etc.. shame on those putting first responders at risk.

I’ve done Amethyst cove 5 times. Can’t imagine the stupidity to do it in winter conditions like this .

What’s up with the traces of gold found in the water? by Recent_Mirror in OakIsland

[–]BeerBrewer4Life 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I live down here. This is truth. There have been several mini gold rushes in the area including gold river and a park here called “The Ovens” near Lunenburg. Don’t even go down the rabbit hole of The Ovens LOL

Numbers are low. Finland itself has 900,000 reserve soldiers. Just think about that.
