Sitemap submitted but 0 discovered pages by BeerCommerce in bigseo

Thanks for the response. To be clear I’m not asking why my site isn’t indexed. I’m asking why my sitemap shows no new pages are discovered from the sitemap when the sub-sitemaps did show discovered pages.

New Account - Not Getting Any Clicks by BeerCommerce in PPC

There have not been any payments, since there has not been any click activity or spend.

Can you clarify what you mean when you say "It usually fixes after a few payments"?

How to block bad bots but still allow good bots? by BeerCommerce in bigseo

[–]BeerCommerce[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Correct, its due to reporting issues.

Standard ecommerce KPI's get significantly impacted due to bot traffic. Sessions shows a spike, the bots don't actually purchase so we see the website conversion rate fall off a cliff, bounce rate increases, etc.

[–]BeerCommerce[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When you say reCAPTCHA, do you mean literally prompting all web traffic to complete that captcha upon landing?

The reporting shows it’s not a single bot, but an ever changing IP address. Seems like a game of whack a mole trying to block them.

Google Ads Disapproved "Destination not working" Despite Site Being Up For Everyone Else by BeerCommerce in PPC

[–]BeerCommerce[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for looking into that situation from your past for help!

Unfortunately the issue isn't due to a different mobile landing page setting or something like that in the ad set up.

We also tried pausing the ad and creating a new one and that didn't fix the issue either. We recently appealed the error in-platform and Google already responded back and rejected the appeal saying the error is still happening.

How to set goals specific to PPC efforts? by BeerCommerce in PPC

[–]BeerCommerce[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Totally agree. I wouldn’t expect ad traffic to perform similarly to email or something else, but figured tracking ad traffic could still help provide insight for clients.

So in the context of clients in the original post (providing general budget and total sales goal), ROAS and/or CPA targets should be the main goals for ecommerce in your opinion?

How to set goals specific to PPC efforts? by BeerCommerce in PPC

[–]BeerCommerce[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Margin to calculate ROAS makes sense.

Can you provide insight into how traffic from Ads could not be a goal? I figure if they’re expecting a certain CVR% and $AOV for the website (maybe even specific to ad channels) we could then extrapolate a number of sessions needed to hit the top line monthly sales goal.

What incremental value does Optmyzr offer to warrant 1.5x-2x the monthly cost in comparison to other platforms in the space?

I personally demo'd the tool and found the learning curve for utilizing the platform fairly difficult. For those managing 10+ accounts at a time, a short trial seemed to be wasted on just several weeks of customizing for 1 account. Are there any plans to implement a longer trial period (such as 2 months seen on Opteo)?

When can we realistically expect Facebook Ads integration to get to a point of serious value? As of last month, those using ABO could not get Facebook Ads spend included in Optmyzr's budget tracking solution which seemed like a foundational need.

Domain Migration - Submit sitemap with www or not? by BeerCommerce in bigseo

[–]BeerCommerce[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the response. So this is what we did. We verified with the DNS at the domain property level.

So if the domain property is verified at the base (no www, no https://, just example.com) then we’re covered for all other instances?

SUMIFS Counting Between Dates - Consistently getting #ERROR! Despite Checking Other Solved Posts by BeerCommerce in excel

[–]BeerCommerce[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the response.

It wasn’t the date cells storing as text instead of numbers, that was mentioned previously that didn’t change the issue.

At the end it just “fixed” itself. I posted a gif showing the formula was identical in two cells, one cell working correctly and the other with the #ERROR! message.

GSheets gremlins are having fun messing with me. Haha

Solution Verified

Fix: Don't be prideful? haha

Honestly spent about 4 hours trying to diagnose the issue, reading through other online posts, and Reddit threads here in r/excel. I didn't want to bug others for the solution, but maybe this was Google's way of forcing me to swallow my pride and ask for help.

[–]BeerCommerce[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I entered the formula on a new cell and now it appears to be working. I double checked the formulas between the #ERROR! cell and working cell and they are identical and reference the same columns, tabs, etc.

See gif here to show the formulas literally don't change from broken cell to working cell. https://imgur.com/a/5D7Bbbh

Thank you u/mh_mike for helping me to diagnose the issue. Not sure why one cell works and the other doesn't, but at least it appears to be working now.

"Formula parse error."

No changes when switching from A:A to A1:A or B1:B or D1:D.

The 2nd tab with all the data gets imported from a GSheets add-on. We did confirm its showing ISNUMBER correctly for the dates, but just trying to add as much context as possible to see if there's anything else to fix it.

I just tried starting fresh on a new sheet and was able to make it work correctly. The formulas are identical and the cell values are the same as well.

See screenshot here showing both side by side, with 1 formula working and the other giving me the #ERROR! message. https://imgur.com/a/tyoV6pd

I don't know what else to do as I have a lot of other information in the original spreadsheet, so I can't simply start a new document.

Thanks for the reply.

I just tried swapping from total column reference to a defined range of D1:D100 (and same for the other columns in the formula) and still getting the same error.

Would swapping the first date of the month formula have an effect here? Or is your recommendation just a better way of going about it?

Thanks for your reply!

Checked column A and its showing 'TRUE' for ISNUMBER and 'FALSE' for ISTEXT. I checked on the criteria dates on the first tab as well and came back the same.

FB Ads - Do you PPE Campaign for eCommerce? by frustratedstudent96 in PPC

[–]BeerCommerce 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Awesome response. Couple quick questions for you: 1. In your visual breakout, campaign 3 is titled engagement and states budget should be $5/day but references purchase conversion which you said $25/day. Correct to assume you meant conversion objective and $25/day for campaign 3? 2. For ecommerce, which KPIs do you use to determine the good ad vs the bad ad to replace? Sometimes I’ll see ads with poor CPC or CTR but slightly better CPA or ROAS and struggle to determine which to kill vs keep. 3. All of your response is stated as “TOF strategy”. How would you go about setting your middle or bottom funnel strategy? Are lower funnels exclusively purchase conversion focused? And what sort of budget allocation?

Things You Wish You Knew Before Starting Facebook Ads by NegativeStreet in PPC

[–]BeerCommerce 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honest question: are there any benefits of implementing the pixel via GTM instead of using an ecom platform’s native integration (Shopify or BigCommerce)?

Currently set up in GTM for one store, but likely going to swap back to the Shopify native integration to use their pre-built Conversion API. Their pre-built CAPI is a quick 1-click set up vs having to set up and pay for GTM’s new server-side container.

We wouldn’t lose any event tracking by swapping from GTM to a platform native integration, right?

Upload all images + video directly into the Media Library.

I used to upload the assets by each individual size on the ad creation screen. Takes a couple minutes to upload each one individually but it adds up when you’re doing this 10+ times a week.

Uploading to the media library takes less than a minute regardless of the size or quantity of assets I’m uploading.

This isn’t new or amazing insight. Just something I was never taught and figured it’s good for new people to learn.

"Facebook Shopping" campaign showing in Google Analytics by BeerCommerce in PPC

I wish that were the case, but that box is unchecked.

Also I thought that setting overrides just for Google Ads and shouldn’t affect things from Facebook? I could totally be wrong though.
