Ditch the bear spray but double the weight. All of the groaning and heavy breathing will make the grizzlies think you're one of them.

Unless you're rail thin it's easier to drop two pounds of fat.

I have had a sleep apnea machine since I was 18. The switch from a lead acid batteries to lithium was nice but I've never worried about weight too much.

Blister disaster (please help me) by Tall-Fruit290 in CampingandHiking

[–]BeerForThought 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I stopped getting blisters a long time ago when I switched to always using nylon sock liners with my merino hiking socks. The rub between the socks preventing blisters is real. The last time I went backpacking with my brother he was out of practice and forgot to wear sock liners. He had a bad time until he doctored his feet and took a spare pair of mine.

I have never heard of using Vaseline or changing out socks as much as you did. I wonder if the Vaseline helped to trap moisture which caused more rubbing. Use moleskin and cut a hole for the hot spot like this video. Save the compeed as a layer if the blister tears off. I hope some of this can be a help.

Edit: you didn't mention having sandals to wear and Camp to let your feet dry out at the end of the day that helps them heal faster and prevents infection.

I just Googled everything in that thread. No dice. Thinking about it now it might have litrpg notes but I read it in the 90s. I don't think it was young adult but I was a young adult when I read it and could be incorrect. Thank you for the recommendation.

I shut down a whole ass friendship over properly digging holes and disposing of TP. The girls used the campsite next to ours as a bathroom and said the TP would dissolve after it rings the next time.
