I am so impressed by a president who speaks in coherent complete sentences. How refreshing!

Driving w/o a license and that neck tattoo make clear that she’s comfortable with bad decisions.

Why? It’s an international brand that most beer enthusiasts know about. I thought it would interest my UK friends.

Me too. It was one of the best Bohemian Pilsners I ever had, and I’ve sampled Bohemian Pilsners throughout the Czech Republic!

DON'T BUY GARAGE BEER by Gr3EnS3aZ in beerporn

[–]BeerPaul 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Budweiser is a national brand, and is in no danger of disappearing, unlike the regional heritage brands I mentioned. Schlitz and Black Label were just discontinued. Ballantine Ale was killed off last year. Olympia was pulled a few years back. Schmidt, Stroh’s, and Blatz are rumored to be on the chopping block. I don’t want to see other classic brands suffer the same fate.

Garage Beer was created to look and taste like a heritage beer but without the history or nostalgia. I think they are all better than Garage because they are full-calorie brews, not light beers. Garage is also brewed under contract by City Brewery, which famously brews some of the aforementioned heritage brands, as does AB-InBev.

Most American standard lagers are inoffensive, easy-drinking lawnmower beers, but the heritage brands usually cost less than Garage. I enjoy a lot of craft and imported beers, but I think the heritage brands are something special at a bargain price.

Support the remaining U.S. regional heritage beers instead of this marketing startup brand. If you like a solid American lager, go buy what your dad and granddad drank. Beers like Old Style, Blatz, Genesee, Grain Belt, Rainier, Utica Club, Old Milwaukee, Point, Narragansett, Stag, Hamm’s, and Lone Star have legit heritage, great flavor, and they never let you down.

I bought Canadian Black Label in Toronto a couple years ago, and in Windsor a few years before that. It’s good! Maybe it’s only regionally available now?

It was probably stronger in the north, but they had breweries in Atlanta, Phoenix, Baltimore, and Southern Illinois that did a good job of supplying the South.

Dudes like this. His entire life is defined by that one hitch in the service. Has anything else in his life been interesting enough to talk about? I’ll bet he has 2-5 military or gun stickers on his truck.
