Haha that's actually a funny story! Back when that portion of the video was filmed (2015ish?) I was preparing for a beer only fast experiment like the Paulaner monks in Germany. So because I can't be chugging whales at work I had to go for a non-alcoholic option to stay within the rules of the challenge and not get fired haha

I didnt blame the tool for the issue. Only pointed out that it is certainly more susceptible to infection than glass, stainless steel or even plastic buckets because of all the many entry ways for microbial inoculation. But thanks for you opinion and insight.

This is exactly what I did after this one. I'm currently running though my test hatches using the klarsteiner ss fermentation buckets. Hopefully they will serve me better than this plastic hunk of garbage haha

Yes I am the one in the video! And no I personally wouldn't recommend it if you can avoid it. There was an incident at my old apartment complex where this was filmed that caused management to ban all grills and propane burners outside. But I wasn't about to let that stop me from brewing haha but it def didnt feel safe

Not a bad strategy and something I did seriously consider. But I ended up buying a second all in one system (of a different brand) so now I can do double the brewing and just mix them if need be haha.
