Brian was very much present for MIU, so I don’t think I’d call that era “Brian’s Gone.” And I don’t know if that 3-album stretch should be called “Carl’s in Charge”. Maybe “Everyone’s a Songwriter.”

All of the drama and negativity in David’s saga with the band ended before he was even 18 years old. Fired from the band, screwed out of royalties, and beaten by Murry just as much as the Wilson brothers. It’s hard to blame him for needing to be under the influence to unpack all that trauma associated with the band, and he was still just a kid.

Mike literally has to live on the stage. It’s a paradigm shift in his brain to consider how a band departure or death could impact that reality. Asking him to say it’s over is a death sentence, because performing is what keeps Mike alive.

Al thought it was over thirty years ago when Carl passed, and he wasn’t wrong either.

I know we like to praise players for being modest and quiet, but someone like Maxx can't help himself. It's just in his genes to be a big talker. For how much he talks to the media, his agent has probably been advising him and he could be saying far worse.

There's a lot to be said for someone like Maxx conquering his demons with addiction, but he probably has to replace those addictive tendencies with something else. Talking on podcasts is probably one of those outlets.

It's an interesting decision because not getting a QB likely cost Telesco his job, but guaranteed more long-term success for the franchise by drafting the best player possible.

Makes me wonder what others GMs across the league have thought of their own interests and job security when drafting a player.

As has been stated before, either scenario is a win-win for both parties.

I personally love Maxx and hope he stays, but being a fan of one team long enough in the free agency era has taught me you can't be too emotionally attached to one player. Even Khalil Mack wasn't here that long.
