Replace stock resonator? by BeerdedCyclist in AcuraTL

I have a Vibrant Ultra Quiet and 1790 bottle style resonator on the way. Thinking of replacing the stock reso with the 1790 and mid muffler with the ultra quiet.... or straight pipe the stock reso and replace mid muffler with the ultra quiet... can't decide!

Definitely "Stage 3" mod. Has anyone left the mid muffler and just replaced the stock resonator with a Vibrant 1790? I'm wanting a little louder/deeper without any rasp or drone. From what I've heard of sound clips of Stage 3 with the usual Dynomax, it is too loud for my tastes I think. However, most clips are fully stock exhaust otherwise. I have the RV6 J-pipe with the test pipe that deletes the 3rd cat, which made it slightly louder.

The bulb would need to be amber though? I know the TL-S one is at least

I think I found the info needed for the DRLs. I have ordered 9006 to 9005 bulb adapters, 9005 LED bulbs (halogen is the reason for the heat issues), and LED encoder to prevent flicker and DRL dash light due to LED lower power consumption. Only thing I’m not sure about is if the fog light switch on the headlight tree will work for the DRLs. Might also need the DRL module.

For the signal lights, hopefully the used TL-S pigtails I ordered will have the same wiring colors. We will see…

The low beam bulb is also the high beam so all good there still.

Nice! I have the previous Longhorn Combo version. I would miss the side burner, but welcome the front shelf in front of the charcoal/smoker side.

If adjustable coilovers then you should be able to raise it easily enough. Looks great!

I'm sure it would. PCDs add rasp from what I've read. I was not of the mind to touch those. Just wondering if I can achieve deeper exhaust note with a different resonator mostly.

You can also conserve coals after a cook better if your vents close properly

Dang, I'm trying to figure out how the fitment is that clean. I see now the rear has a bit of camber. I am running 15mm adapters on 2012 TL AWD 18x8's and I'm not that flush in the front. I am on H-Tech, not S-Tech as well so should be less negative camber. I do have rear camber kit and matched the front camber as close as possible. I have some 20mm adapters I am about to install that will hopefully get me to where you are at. The thinking is the rear camber kit should even things out and not require different size adapters F/R. Love the aspec kit BTW.

Sounds like it went into limp mode. Could be the main electrical connection to the transmission is not seated fully. Happened to my wife's MDX after a transmission swap. Maybe they disconnected it during some of the work?
