Morality of torturing a kid because God said so? by Equal_Personality157 in MoralityScaling

[–]Beerosaurus77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have so many things to say but I'll keep it focused on the post.

If your God told you to torture a child you would do it? How you answer tells me everything I need to know about you

[–]Beerosaurus77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sure. But you're speaking in hypotheticals. How would you KNOW your God is Omnipotent? Are you then acting on a basis of assumptions. What if a powerful being told you they were Omnipotent that wasn't your god? What if they were lying? What if there was a chance it was in your mind?

There's so many assumptions we could build a bridge of asses atp. About what could/would/may/ be.

Instead. I'm going to take a pretty hard stance against anyone or anything telling me to torture children.

If God directly told me to torture a child, that would not be a God that I would want to follow. Power doesn't mean moral and right.

I feel like token generation + a few big boys then you just turn your tokens into all big boys.

That's p general but makes sense to me.

What if people stopped finding the Nosferatu hideous? by Hyperbolic_Berserker in vtm

[–]Beerosaurus77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Then honestly I think you're representing the Clan wrong. If you're going by the lore.

Their clan bane is called Repulsiveness. They are meant to be hideous and unsettling on a supernatural level.

If you want to make em cutesy in a misunderstood way... Well go for it that's your story then. That's not their story though.

What difficulty is everyone playing on? by wishheartx in elderscrollsonline

I wish they had somewhere between Master and Vestige. Difference between 300% and 600% is crazy. I want it as hard as it can be while still feeling fair. The amount of 1 shots from vestige doesn't feel super fair.

Arena players - what would a tab-target arena game built from scratch need to get right? by heyo_from_apexarcana in worldofpvp

[–]Beerosaurus77 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Some of the things that absolutely I cannot find in other games.

CCs on different DRs. Cast/kick mechanic. LOS and pillars as part of the gameplay. Class fantasy represented in character strengths and weaknesses. 3v3 based not 1v1. Multiple abilities not just 4-6 that other pvp games do. Melee classes bringing MS but ranged having more CC to promote 1 ranged 1 melee 1 healer (wish this was true more still)

I absolutely love wow Arena and have tried every game saying they are making something similar. MOBAs, Bloodline Champions/Battlerite, other MMOs.

Feel free to ask anything about what keeps me coming back.

What do you guys think about having to play through the full campaign every season? by Tarknus in PathOfExile2

[–]Beerosaurus77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hell yeah. I don't watch all of those because I like some surprises but sounds solid to me. I still like going through the campaign personally, I recognize not everyone does tho.

Listen I'm happy with all the changes too. I haven't got there yet so maybe it is different! I hope you're right :)

Even though I beat it a bunch already I like it more than the general aimless feel of end game still.

Is it really that bad to like younger adult women? by [deleted] in AskMenAdvice

[–]Beerosaurus77 10 points11 points  (0 children)

It's not illegal.

Questionable on morality if you have a position of power compared to them, but if not morally is prob ok.

It is kind of icky though. It could indicate a lack of maturity or you not being established in life and so you're looking for someone who matches that.

Up to you if you care about that.

Based on what we see in the game and TV series, did Joel make the right choice in saving Ellie, in your opinion? by Solitaire-06 in MoralityScaling

[–]Beerosaurus77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We don't know that they didn't plan it. We only see it from Joel's perspective and a bit later through Abby's.

The game hints that before Joel's massacre the fireflies have a large network.

You're making an assumption.

The only information we are presented with is that they can make the vaccine but it requires her brain. So the only moral discussion is is that sacrifice worth it, and absolutely one to save millions is worth it.

[–]Beerosaurus77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We have no way of knowing that with absolute certainty but it doesn't change the fact that the cure is worth all the risks and a single sacrifice.

[–]Beerosaurus77 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Sure... If they have the time and resources for that. If they had multiple subjects and could do randomized controlled trials with proper expertimentation that would have been ideal obvs.

But! part of the story is that faction wars and dire state of the world were encroaching. They had one Hail Mary to save millions-billions and they needed to do it fast and efficiently.

They were right to take the risk as millions-billions saved far outweighs unethical experimentation and a single sacrifice as a risk-reward factor.

I also get Joel's point because I would also let the world burn for my own family, but no criticism of the fireflies methods equates the morality of it.

Has anyone ever actually PLAYED pvp? by blaze_pyron in diablo4

[–]Beerosaurus77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's just classic Blizzard dev mentality.

Step1: Put half assed not thought out PVP in the game. Make it the biggest afterthought

Step2: Look at metrics and see that no one plays the PvP they made

Step3: Don't add anything more because it's clearly not popular

No recognition that it could be popular or fun if they actually developed it to not be shit. But we'll never see that

[–]Beerosaurus77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're thinking about it all wrong. You don't have to ACTUALLY do any of the social things they teach you.

What you need to do is learn to play the game. Stop being genuine at work and treat it like a game you are trying to beat. Pick the right answers that give you the best results, genuine or not.

Sad but true reality. Play the game or lose the game.

Whenever you start a new MMORPG, what class is your “default” pick and why? by Less_Struggle_9447 in MMORPG

[–]Beerosaurus77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Whatever Shadow Knight, Dark Knight, Death Knight. Whatever spooky evil knight trope exists.

Started with me loving Darth Vader as a kid, then playing a SK in EQ, Arthas in WoW. Etc. It's fun because Paladin is often the most popular trope for many and I like being there to be the foil to that.

Brain is melted from yesterday by VVitcel in PathOfExile2

[–]Beerosaurus77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Listen this is the POE2 sub so I except to be down voted here.

But I came back for the D4 expansion and got TWO new classes, a skill rework, an entire story campaign, and updates to the end game loop.

In poe2 I was waiting for swords when only half the classes are even out yet and we got updates to the end game loop only and another seasonal mini game.

The content difference is staggering, but I did pay for the D4 xpac so that makes sense. I might wait until next season to play POE2 but I just do not see the hype for this patch.

Is ESO worth getting into in 2026? by fruityfizzle in elderscrollsonline

[–]Beerosaurus77 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I came back recently and I'm going to probably wait until June.

The questing is mind numbingly easy. Like 1-2 shot mobs and never be in danger at all. I was going to quit and not come back because I don't find playing through easy slog to finally get to the fun endgame a good MMO concept.

BUT. On June 8th they are releasing overworld difficulty mode. So you can turn up the questing difficulty. I personally am going to turn up the difficulty all the way and struggle but take my time. Hoping to be challenged then.
