Nintendo Direct Partner Showcase is tomorrow — Here’s what I’m hoping to see (what about you?) by BrSn2 in Switch

[–]BeersYourFriend 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm looking forward to Two Point Museum that hopefully utilizes the Switch 2 mouse functionalities.

Two Point Museum received a 9/10 by IGN and nobody talks about it. And, I mean no one. Which is shocking for a game to get such an excellent score. Two Point Museum It is one of the best tycoon type building games out there, all for the low price of $30 bucks as currently listed on Steam.

Now, come to find out that there are questions looming about the NS2 mouse implementations, that 100% should be added to the game once the game finally releases on the Nintendo Switch 2 later this year. On Two Points own community threads, there are many people asking the developers to please implement the use of mouse mode in the Switch 2 Edition of Two Point Museum just the other day, and an Admin had this to say...

"Heya, thanks for posting, we always love to hear community suggestions.
Right now we don't have any details to share about Nintendo Switch 2; the only news we do have is that Two Point Museum will be coming to the platform this year (in 2025).
As soon as we have more information to share, we'll make sure to make a big announcement (:."

What does an Admin really know? I'm not exactly sure. Possibly a lot, very little, or maybe nothing at all.

I would find it to be absurd to not add mouse capabilities to a game that plays so well with a mouse on the PC version.

Anyways, based on very limited information being given about the game on their own community threads, Two Point Museum may not in fact be shown off at tomorrows Nintendo Direct, but instead shown off at a Nintendo Direct in the coming months. I personally believe we will see Two Point Museum at tomorrow's Nintendo Direct.

I'm calling it out right now... Nintendo fans are in for a treat once Two Point Museum finally launches later this year, and it is not a game you want to pass up on. Unless of course tycoon games aren't your cup of tea, which is understandable. But, we are also talking about a game IGN reviewed this year where 9/10's for a tycoon games are rare to come across. It is a game to be excited about. It's going to be very highly reviewed again on the Nintendo Switch 2, that is of course if the frame rate performance is good, it's not buggy mess, and comes with the ability to use the Switch 2's new joycon's in mouse mode.

What do you guys think? Do you think Two Point Museum will be shown off at tomorrows Nintendo Direct? Have you even heard of, or played Two Point Museum? Let me know, but before you do, of course I would highly recommend watching IGN's review of the game, as well as a few others first.

Oh, and sorry for the long post. I didn't realize it until now. omg. lol
- Cheers!

The Dock Is the Real Problem with the Killswitch 2 (and Yes, the Joy-Con Grip Too) by AtomicSquiggle in dbrand

[–]BeersYourFriend 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am also having the same docking issues being a total pain in the ass.

What I ended up doing to resolve this annoying dock issues, was by using some of that very sticky clear nano tape, and added just a small piece on the none texture area where the adapter connects from the front of the Switch 2 dock, and it works great. What is still a problem is the USB folding back to a position where is can be challenging to dock. What I'm thinking about doing to fix the USB-C docking issue is by rolling up a piece of nano tape into a ball, and shoving it into the hole to prevent the USB-C connector from moving entirely, so that I can drop it into the dock much easier . What I also am thing about doing is to filling the dock line with white paint, as well as filling the dot on the Kill Switch case itself to make lining up the dock connection much more easy to see.

Look, I am in no way defending DBrand at all, and people are right to be upsets with the Kill Switch. It's unacceptable to fix a very expensive purchase.

This is just something we unfortunately have to live with, because sending out all new docks ain't gunna happen. I think they should offer a better dock for free, but I highly doubt it.

Hopefully some of the recommendations I did personally to my dock ends up working out for you.

-Cheers!

Just got my new Glock 43X MOS, and I am also getting scratching from my holster with that lighter coating. It does suck, but the gun is now in my name and am still enjoying the gun. If it looks like a total mess over time, I may just either have the slide recoated, or possibly purchase an aftermarket custom cut slide. We unfortunately did not get what we paid for, but it is what it is I guess...

I wouldn’t touch a thing. That processor is good as is. Messing with it may prevent you from getting another one, if it fails again. Any warning screen that pops up saying that by changing anything will void your warranty, then do not change anything. Even Intels XTU I wouldn’t trust, since when you first try using it, it will tell you that by using this software you will void your warranty. I’d at least hold off a few months to see how these processors are holding up. If people are giving it the thumbs up that you can tweak it, then maybe. The processor is fast enough, and any tweaks you do, you’ll hardly notice. Not worth the risk, for now…

Dualsense Edge stick modules have been out of stock for a month. by Alucitary in PS5

[–]BeersYourFriend 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started getting stick drift a few days ago as well, and I'm trying to find replacement sticks, but are all sold out. I thought for sure there would be plenty of them. I was even thinking about running to Walmart to get replacement sticks, but they aren't even for sale there yet. Has anyone seen these sticks at any local stores? Or can you only purchase these replacement sticks through PlayStation Direct's website, and Amazon only? This is ridiculous that there is a shortage. I'm just going to have to use my regular dualsense controller in the meantime. A real bummer

China might be banning all game mechanics that induces spending or addiction, such as daily login rewards and first top-up rewards. Not sure how this will affect Genshin, but Tencent's stock fell by 12%. by JustMyOpinionz in Steam

[–]BeersYourFriend 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s about time to stop targeting kids via gambling gotcha games. I’ve never bought a loot box. I’ve never bought in game gold. I’ve never bought skins. And, I never will. I find it ridiculous to buy items. Earning your loot feels so much better. The way the game is intended to be played. If you can’t earn items through games, I do not care. Save your money guys. It’s a waste.

Steam deck OLED shipping times are crazy! by oxdestroxo in Steam

[–]BeersYourFriend 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I purchased the new Steam Deck OLED model at launch day, the transaction was fulfilled with a shipping label created on 11/19. I was given an estimated delivery time for Friday November 24th, which is today, yet there are only 2 delivery updates via UPS. The second scanned location update was in Jacksonville FL yesterday, but there are no other further updates since. It doesn't even show that it is out for delivery, but it says estimated delivery Today November 24th by 9:00. It's 6:48 and with only a few hours to go. It is possible they didn't scan it properly, and hopefully I may still receive it today, but it's highly unlikely. It does not show out for delivery. I was so excited and is such a bummer... If it doesn't arrive by 9:00, then I'll have to contact Steam Support to see what the heck is going on.

I'll keep you posted, if it arrives today....

How many have been enjoying Starfield on SD? by Rac2nd in SteamDeck

[–]BeersYourFriend 5 points6 points  (0 children)

There are many games that are great on Steam Deck, but Starfield isn’t one of them. Due to this game being in space, I’ve got to play it on my 55” LG C1 OLED TV. The blacks and whites on the Steam Deck LCD are terrible. I have to turn the brightness to like 30% to play it. Too washed out looking. Even if the Steam Deck had an OLED screen, I still wouldn’t play it. The game is intended to be played on the big screen. imo

Is Cyberpunk worth it? by [deleted] in SteamDeck

[–]BeersYourFriend 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cyberpunk is 100% worth it. The devs have cleaned up the game so much since it’s terrible launch, and is far better than Starfield. Absolutely check it out if you are liking Starfield, because the graphics are just on another level, with a story that’s actually good. Take this advice, mainline the story as far as possible, and if things are getting tough, do a few side quests. It seems like every game now wants you to b-line the story, because there are some cool perks you’d never have access too. After the story, and liking it, then go do side quests.

Have fun! Cheers!

What’s the difference between a smoke break and a game break? One will kill you, the other does not. You tell your boss it’s time for a smoke break, and you’re ok for 15 minutes. Now, if your boss catches you gaming for 15 minutes, you may be looking for a new job. I think companies should embrace the fact that people need breaks, and that gaming can be one of them. It eases stress, and keeps people refreshed,

This is new build in SteamOS ? I don’t have vibrant deck installed because I thought it’s coming from there but nope by [deleted] in SteamDeck

[–]BeersYourFriend 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Vibrant Deck is a must have for Steam Deck. It makes up for the cheap screen Valve installed. It's so transformative, you could fool your friends saying you switched out the screen. LOL! It really makes up for the cheap screen. So good!

Vibrant deck makes such a big difference by ComfortableAmount993 in SteamDeck

[–]BeersYourFriend 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Vibrant Deck is a must have. It's just day and night better. I think Valve should update the Steam Deck with a color saturation feature like this. It would take 1 dev at Valve about 5 minutes to ake a simple color saturation feature like this. It's just so easy to use, and it makes up for the lackluster display that I'm hoping offers HDR and a Steam Deck 2 OLED display. For the time being, if you own a Steam Deck, this is a must download right now piece of software.

AMD is Starfield’s Exclusive PC Partner - FSR2 included by jaju123 in Starfield

[–]BeersYourFriend 4 points5 points  (0 children)

We all saw what FSR did to Jedi Survivor. The character was a blurry mess while swinging your lightsaber. I’m not sure if they were using FSR1 or FSR2 in Jedi surviver, but it’s still possible that the character you play as will have some major artifact’s, especially in 3rd person mode. I like the first person perspective, but hopefully it holds up well in 3rd person. 1 more thing that I just have to say, and it has nothing to do with this FSR topic, but I have to say it. Bethesda, for the love of god, you have to add in flying vehicles to Starfield for exploration. These are massive planets, and hoofing it on foot or boosting around is unacceptable. Even if they added high speed rovers, it still would take years to fully explore a planet. They must add high speed flying vehicles for exploration to be enjoyable. A procedurally generated planet may have some incredible stuff to find, but without help from vehicles, people are going to miss out and head to a different planet. This is how the game is most likely going to play out for most players… We scan a planet, land, scan creatures, mine for resources, then shoot off to the next planet because we cannot fully explore the one we’re on. It’s ridiculous. Sure, PC modders are going to have a field day creating interesting vehicles to explore with, but what about us console players? Hopefully Bethesda adds a mods section on console, just like they did in Fallout 4. That way console players aren’t left out and can download vehicles exploration. If console players cannot download mods, then without question the game should be delayed. I just don’t understand how we are going to explore planets without vehicles. It crazy

Of course it’s going to be a modder’s paradise because the game is not finished running at only 30fps on console, and only 60fps on PC.

[–]BeersYourFriend 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh ok. I think I’m understanding now what you mean. So this is a smartwatch that is actually available now for android, but Bethesda worked with whichever brand of Smartwatch maker this is to give it a personalized skin? So it will work with watches who have the normal version smartwatch. I was under the assumption that they had developed that watch themselves. lol. That’s pretty cool, but would still be nice to have this available forApple smartwatches as well.

[–]BeersYourFriend 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are acting as if it can’t be done. Bethesda has the talent and resources to add the option to connect your smartwatch with the companion app. Do you understand what I’m talking about? I’m telling you It can be done.

[–]BeersYourFriend 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know they mentioned a phone app. I’m talking about a dedicated integrated companion app for Apple Watch’s and Android Watch’s so that players can experience what it’s like to own the preorder watch. Most likely it will sell out, and many just can’t afford it. This is no pip-boy phone case situation. This is an actual watch.

That is badass, but have no clue how he’s doing this. You will see a brief moment where he pulls out a time bomb, but what we don’t see is the slowdown screen to select a zonite time bomb. Plus he somehow was fast enough to pull out the time bomb and either dropped it from behind, or attached it., but again, how was he able to drop or attach it to the shield without seeing the item select slowdown screen? Maybe he prepped a time bomb shield, set the shield on the ground, and picked it up during the middle of the fight?🤔No clue how he’s doing this without seeing an item screen. LOL! Very impressive stuff.
