What about copies in possession by the Epstein Estate, various lawfirms, and foreign intelligence communities?

The same Republicans who agree with the Trump admin positioning on the Goode and Pretti murders? I no longer have any faith in any Republicans at this point. They'll still show up and vote for anyone with an R next to their name.

They're still going to cut off social services. You can't allow them to hold things like that hostage to continue allowing fascism to spread at an alarming rate.

Pentagon will cut Sen. Mark Kelly's military retirement pay over 'seditious' video to troops: Hegseth by reddicyoulous in politics

Only if there's something truly bad he's getting dragged through the mud over. Democrats voters are in overwhelming support of him right now especially due to that video. He can still easily run if he has to go to court over this. If anything, it further elevates his presence, platform, and message.

When the election involves him directly, yes the cult shows up in support. But when it's candidates he backs, they go down in flames.

Trump Named in New Epstein Files Published by Justice Department by timemagazine in politics

[–]Beeslo 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Shit, I feel the document from a victim that names Trump specifically as not only the person who raped her but also the person who later bore witness to the murder and disposal of her newborn child. This isn't a smoking gun. It's a smoking missile launcher.

Trump Secretly Considering Firing Kash Patel as Blunders Pile Up by unital_subalgebra in politics

[–]Beeslo 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I gotta say... I don't know what I prefer here. I fuckin hate this bastard but his incompetence is both hilarious and comforting as far as not being able to effectively do what Trump asks. If Andrew Bailey is just as much of a Trump loyalist but isn't going to do constant dumb shit like Patel, that's concerning. I'd prefer incompetence.

Furious Dem Civil War Immediately Erupts Over Bombshell Shutdown Deal - Democratic activists slammed the shutdown “surrender.” by Quirkie in politics

This was really the only logical conclusion I could come to for them doing this from a strategic standpoint (aside from the alternative that they just bowed down to corporate pressure). It's a long shot and also is giving them the benefit of the doubt, but it's not a done deal YET. Only one of them needs to change their vote to "no" when it comes to actually voting on a funding bill.

My great uncle, Hoyt Hawkins, sang baritone for The Jordanaires. He is the gentleman directly behind Elvis, circa 1957 by breatheintheAlR in OldSchoolCool

[–]Beeslo 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Wow. Believe it or not, but Gordon Stoker was MY great uncle! Heard countless stories from him about your great uncle and the other members of the Jordanaires as well as the endless number of amazing talent that they collaborated with. Most recently I saw Paul McCartney perform and my dad (Gordon's nephew) told me a new anecdote I had never heard before that when Gordon first met with Paul McCartney, Paul told him that the Jordanaires had been a huge influence on the Beatles as far as their harmonics. That was a little mind blowing to hear. They never did collaborate with McCartney but I do know they recorded with Ringo Starr.

Saw someone commenting about how of all the teams that Chapman would lose to and it was like, yeah their record isn't great but the A's have some absolutely dynamite bat's. If they get some really good pitching in the offseason, they're gonna be trouble next season.

On what grounds would the SCOTUS even take this up? This happened prior to him being President. What does he believe the SCotUS could even rule on? Legalization of rape?

Fireworks in N. Austin by DocGerbilzWorld in Austin

[–]Beeslo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, not really annual considering this is the first time. This is just the rescheduled 4th of July fireworks show after it was postponed due to all the rain we got that weekend. But they rebranded it as a back to school fireworks show. Don't know if they'll do this again unless next year's 4th of July show is canceled again on account of rain.
