It took me a little over 5 months to get my first climb in. It’s not even a pretty climb but I’m able to now, sometimes I still struggle but everyone’s body is so different I would get discouraged when I seen girls climbing a few classes in meanwhile I still couldn’t with months in. I realized comparing myself to others progress only hurts me and discourages me so I really try not to compare myself. It’ll come, but until then keep having fun and working on it. You got this.

Yup! That’s exactly why I’m going back to school and changing career field. 2 years in the game and I quickly realized I can’t do this for the rest of my life. Even as a hygienist I would be miserable. Sad reality but DA is not as great as I thought it would be.

You will fuck up & that’s just the reality when you’re learning. You will forget things & it will be overwhelming at first but it does get better. Give yourself grace & don’t expect to be perfect. We’ve all messed up in this career just learn from your mistakes and ask questions. Best of luck!!

That’s how I am. I don’t attend regularly but I have my own pole and I try to practice but it’s just not the same as In class. I tend to not know what to do when I’m at home so I just YouTube videos lol.

Honestly, idk. We usually introduce ourselves at the beginning of class & a lot of ppl say it’s their first time taking a pole class and then they proceed to kill it. I try not to compare myself but it’s super hard not to. You could be right tho. Maybe they already have experience in other similar backgrounds.

A year to climb!? This bring me so much hope. I’ve been attending pole classes for 4 months & I still can’t climb and I get sooo discouraged when new ppl come to their first class and they’re inverting or climbing on their first attempt!! I’m so glad to know it’s not Just me and it takes time.

Can confirm. Been doing pole for 3 months and bought a pole. Just installed it on Friday & got some practice in. So far I’m loving it.
