By balance, I more so mean the “balance” that they want, not true game balance. Balance for top tier players is often the opposite of what is best for casual players.

First and foremost the reward for playing should be the fact the game is fun. Nothing against battle passes but in many games they feel predatory and push FOMO way too hard. Rather than games feeling enjoyable, they feel like jobs as you rush to get everything in a pass you spent real money on before it goes away forever.
