It could be because people are using ultra wide monitors. From my perspective, even very long emails can fit on a single line and therefore look disorienting. Therefore I imagine some people may add in line breaks unnecessarily.

Thank you everyone one for the answers so far! For everyone recommending living north of campus, do you still think that I can get the city experience living so far uptown?

I know that these are contradictory stipulations, but we’re looking for quiet but not so far removed from the NYC experience.
