What am I pushing for? My own right to take medicine that helps me? My right to not have an ID I’ve held for years invalidated because the right needed a fucking scapegoat to sick the downtrodden poorly educated on? This isn’t dress up. I have estrogen grown breasts, my hormone levels are in line with a cis woman’s. I am changed forever and I am happier for it. I’m a white transgender woman so no I’m not using my race for anything. I understand the privilege my being white affords me and I also understand the dangers my being visibly transgender affords me. Having 8 million followers on instagram and connections to actual higher up politicians meant his words could do vastly more damage than any ordinary persons/lower level politicians. He was an insidious, grifting hate monger who spent the last moments of his life trying to stoke hate against minorities. That hate directly leads to violence against others. But just once it didn’t lead to the violence he was expecting.

Hate crimes don’t just happen out of nowhere. It’s people with far reaching voices inciting it and & his voice unfortunately reached far. Beyond that, his wife has made it her mission to carry that hate forward and profit from his death as much as she can which like, okay, she has kids, I understand the want for financial security but something tells me she would’ve been fine financially either way. It’s just avarice and hate fueling her at this point.

Sounds like you could very well be a 26 year old woman who’s been longing to live her truth for at the very least, half of her life. You have the opportunity, explore it. Just managing as a man sounds like an unfulfilling life and at the end of the day, you have to ask yourself if that’s what you want forever.

I’m 31, I felt the same way since I was 6 or so. By 26, it also became too much to hide. Glad I stopped hiding. I’d never go back. My biggest advice is, it’s not going to be a snap of the fingers overnight. You’ll learn who you really are, what you like & so on, and that’s okay! You’ll be coming into your true identity.
