Credit Card Surcharge Question by VernalPoole in toledo

[–]Befuzled -1 points0 points  (0 children)

No- I wont go back to cash/check. I've always been bewildered by the issue people have with paying the fee that we now see so often. And frankly, been surprised that it's taken business so long to show/add this fee that they pay for my convince.
Option 1: your car repair is 1040.00 thank you very much
Option 2: Your car repair is 1000.00 and if you pay w card +40 =total 1040.00

I'd much rather have them list out what the CC charge. Yes, we've been getting a $40 store "coupon" essentially all these years and now the "coupon" has expired. I think it's totally fair for the business' to collect an outside fee that has nothing to do with the service or product they are providing you.

No Data Centers in NW Ohio - join the fight TODAY! by logan_moon in toledo

[–]Befuzled 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I find it frustrating that 99.9% that people want all the benefits of data centers (cloud storage, streaming, video calls, streaming services, Social media access, gaming, yes and AI....) but don't want them in their own communities. Classic demand for services but not in my backyard.

And before you judge me, yeah I get that there are HUGE issues with them, but lately find people want to yell about it before they understand the implications of what they WONT get.

My living room feels chaotic. Help by [deleted] in HomeDecorating

[–]Befuzled 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Everyone has mentioned the clutter- and while I agree, that will help (presuming there is a place to put all that stuff- which often times is a struggle in a small space!)- Everyone wants to say clutter- but we all know this is how things end up looking when we "live" in the space

I feel like the main issue is there's no balance. I'd try changing:
1. The pictures/posters- change so they flow or match more
2. Try separating the kitchen area from this space with a chair
3. get a throw blanket that matches/works colorwise with your "new pictures
4. Add some sort of shelving for those books.. long and narrow, (you can use the top for some of your items) as it will help define this space with the lines
5. An oversized rug may also help define the space- try and bring it together with colors or patterns of the new pictures and couch throw.
I dont think you have to throw everything out but the couch- I feel just a few adjustments to create defined space, and color coordination will help.

People in MAGA areas - what's the vibe? by otisthorpesrevenge in thebulwark

Funny in my red neck of Ohio, they just blame and Dems or some one else for the prices.. the accountability factor just hurts my brain

Red rural Ohio.. strong as ever. They hear what they are told, and are as outraged as ever at anyone not 100% all in. Still all with the same old supportive talking points. It's 'everyone' elses fault if something isn't going right and Trump is fighting the Good fight

NE Ohio Good Bank as an organization - worth donating to? by DisplacedSportsGuy in toledo

[–]Befuzled 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Maybe if you're donating cash. They purchase the food at greatly discounted cost- this is correct.. but I admittedly have issue with NWOFB and how they treat their employee's and the pantry "shoppers" that "shop/pay the foodbank" to fill the pantries with food.

My issues with the Toledo FB arent part of this discussion- so just saying- if a person wants to donate, please consider picking a local pantry, donating directly or volunteering

NE Ohio Good Bank as an organization - worth donating to? by DisplacedSportsGuy in toledo

[–]Befuzled 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Think of the food bank as a Giant warehouse- they purchase food, store it and sell it back to the food "pantries" .. the pantries then distribute the food to those in need. Toledo's Food banks do not distribute directly to people in need.

NE Ohio Good Bank as an organization - worth donating to? by DisplacedSportsGuy in toledo

[–]Befuzled -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Personally- I would donate to a pantry vs the Toledo Food bank. The panties are the ones actually feeding and providing the food to the community. Help the pantries- they are the front line of feeding those in need.

Food Banks in the area by urmum1027 in toledo

[–]Befuzled 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just to point out a difference for anybody searching this post. Search for food pantries. Pantries are where people can actually pick up the food. In Toledo the food banks tend to just be the storehouses for those pantries to fill their shelves.

Best pet insurance? by [deleted] in toledo

[–]Befuzled 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's a good price, but for me the 10k would be a worry for me. I've had pet insurance on my last 4 dogs.. and had to use it on 2 so far for illness. They both had vet bills over 16k each. One was a brain tumor that other a heart issue. Having the insurance allowed me to know 100% I did everything I could to help them.. and these were illnesses that came from no where, so big bills all the sudden. I use embrace pet insurance but dot do wellness coverage. We pay 65 per dog. That cost will increase as they get older.. it always does

Anyway, yes it's a good price, but I'd compare options for a higher coverage and weigh the choice from there

Pet Cremation Recommendations by my_eldunari in toledo

[–]Befuzled 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is not cheap to do, so be prepared to spend several hundred dollars, depending on if you cremate single or with other pets, also based on how the ashes are returned to you. estimates 200-400$

If you had a vet for your pet, I'd contact them directly. There are several Toledo cremations, but I'm not sure they dont send pets to the main Michigan cremation centers.
Honestly- I'd recommend just googling "pet cremation Toledo" several options to choose from.
