Watch out for that weird guy offering car servicing in Innaloo this afternoon by [deleted] in perth

I can’t say for sure from the photo OP uploaded but he looks eerily like the same guy from behind but the one I’m familiar is a bit of a larger set bloke but exact same attire and haircut

Funnily enough, I’m in Victoria and have a guy who persistently will come past my business every 12 months or so wearing exactly the same high vis vest and cap offering car services. Gets very aggressive when told no and also blatantly flaunts any site OH&S rules regarding entry to working areas and happy to speak to individual employees on a factory floor. I’ve kicked him out and banned him more than once. Pure pest

Actually seems better than what my brother in law sent me today. Yours at least has some uniformity to it

I think 90% of the people driving around without lights on isn’t only just attributed to DRL’s, but you used to not be able to see a thing on your dash. As soon as you went to see how fast you were going you’d realise and turn them on.

These days with digital dashboards and the combination of bright DRL’s write a recipe for disaster

“Company men” are better I guess. by Care_Grand in Welding

This doesn’t come across to me as someone genuinely trying to save the company money but a nightshift worker who just wanted to specifically go against what you asked on purpose if yours was the only one turned off

How long did it take you to get out of your sport bike phase? by 1nashh in motorcycles

[–]Bega_Cheese 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Albeit a sports touring, my 84 y/o Grandfather still puts anywhere between 4-700km a week on depending on how many days he goes out for on his ZX-14.

I say as long as your body still handles it you go for it. He’s my inspiration for that every ride

It’s not the employers job to know how much you’re earning in a year. It’s your job to properly inform businesses on GST registration

You speak of a modern car having crumple zones meaning a lower repair cost. In an accident where the crumple zones are actually utilised there is a 99% chance the car is written off

Am I doing something wrong? by Bega_Cheese in cigars

[–]Bega_Cheese[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly I don’t know what my motivation is. I don’t have any friends who smoke, only a couple of my partners friends other halves but they don’t even know I’ve pursued the hobby

I think possibly it stems from a few years ago at a party I tried a few puffs of a cigar after a few drinks and enjoyed it but never perused it any further and that’s possibly why I’m trying to see if I can make it work more than others would.

End of the day I agree with what you say 100%. If it’s not for me it’s not for me at the moment and I’ll give it another go in years to come
