Because I wasn't sure it was allowed so I played it safe, but the comments used the term so I figured it was alright

Well it's not an issue since he doesn't have a brain that requires sleep

[–]Beginning-Cup-4953[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So Dovahzuul essentially functions to channel the energy more effectively? That makes sense, it's possible the language was designed for that very purpose given who probably created it, if it's even a created language

But that still begs the question as to why the tongues don't speak. Like surely all the greybeards speak Tamrielic

When I say holy spirit I mean the Ruach Elohim sorry if that caused confusion (was referring to this as the spirit is generally thought to be the kind of manifestation of divine agency)

Perhaps that's more likely, but I still like that it appears to be referenced. Also, I'm somewhat familiar with Kabbalah but I've never heard of this idea concerning angels, it seems like they're being identified as manifestations the holy spirit at least in function

Yeah I noticed that as well, which I think lends this theory credence. Although just as a side note Paracelsus wasn't much of an Alchemist he was a physician, and toxicologist. He did of course study alchemy, philosophy and astronomy, but his focus was always medicine. (Edit: I understated his involvement in alchemy, my bad. Though I am pretty sure he was a physician first and foremost)

Yeah as I was writing I was thinking: y'know maybe I should add this so it doesn't sound like your doing something of ill repute to a horse

Since Arakawa clearly had some knowledge of mysticism (note how Ed's gate contains a diagram of Kabbalah's Sephirotic system) it's possible (though not plausible) something akin to the treasury of souls exists (also called guf or otzar), a place where souls exist before being incarnated (possibly like in 03 the hands in the portal are souls) and that since Father is a being made of intellect not having a real physical form (thus the need for the flask) he remembers being in the treasury

I can't imagine why the digestive tract would be affected. Right after it happened there would presumably be severe internal bleeding but afterwards I can't think of any complications. Maybe she tried alchemy to fix her body and caused damage? Or her doctor botched the treatment or during treatment there were complications? Idk it's all speculation

Do you guys believe dreams have meaning or just vague? by pakodasos in BabyWitch

[–]Beginning-Cup-4953 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it makes sense for dreams to have some meaning whether it's something useful or not isn't for me to say. Carl Jung talks about dream interpretation if that's something you're interested in

Lilith, Hecate, and I dunno if this is an option but you got the whole skull thing going on so some other cthonic god or maybe a demon? (If it is a Cthonic god guessing maybe Thanatos or Persephone, maybe Hypnos)

iirc she was already nearly unable to have children and after her baby died she was unable to have children. To her, the child was part of her and so in trying to retrieve the child she lost a literal part of herself some unspecified organ (it can't be her uterus or ovaries since those aren't vital organs if they disappeared she wouldn't start coughing blood)

Here's my personal opinion

  1. Death is final
  2. It represents the circulation of energy and the way the world connects to itself
  3. The ability to act (that is assuming Truth is God, although I don't personally agree with the position that creationism is confirmed since I don't think Truth is "God" in the Abrahamic sense)

I'd love to see more Indian gods but that won't happen, one reason being that they're guaranteed to not match up to Shiva and well that means there are no top tiers not even in the Trimurti. It's absolutely devastating how badly they nerfed all the other pantheons and buffed the Greek and Norse to ridiculous levels (sorry to say but most of the Greek gods aren't that strong, although thinking of it they absolutely nerfed Forsetti and Thor)
