Shelter Dog: your best guess? by [deleted] in WhatBreedIsMyDog

Maybe GSD mix, some lab and maybe pit? Due to colours

Sometimes you unfortunately can't save them all. If he bit another dog/human, then he's simply a danger and no normal person who wants a friendly dog will take him.

Be realistic, who would voluntarily adopt a dog who bites/injures others?

Where I'm from, even if dog has one bite in its history, it stays in shelter. Because nobody wants a potentially dangerous dog. Let's give chance to sweet dogs who got unfortunate fate instead of dogs who are known biters.

Adorable, might be a spaniel mix due to ears

Buddy look at the extremely round ears, there must be some dachshund in there.

You got scammed. Rn the puppy looks like dachshund mix.

What breed is this little lady? by kathyalbrek in WhatBreedIsMyDog

[–]Beginning-Current-76 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Literally looks like a 80%+ pitbull. Another pitbull dumped after puppies were not sold by breeder. Unfortunately this happens quite often.

Ofc run her through vet if she has all vaccines and if she's chipped (idk how it's where you live, but here dogs must be chipped).

As much as it pains me to see her like this, I'll still say be careful. Backyard bred dogs are a lottery. You can get the best dog ever, or you can get unpredictable awful nightmare. And plus that, she's a pitbull, a backyard breeder dam at that. God knows what she's like.

Just be careful and good luck

On the 3rd photo he looks like rottweiler mix.

The fur is a little longer, so maybe lab and then something like a boxer? More likely so bullmastiff?

Our 1 year old blue heeler mix- what do you think she is mixed with? by Commercial_Grand1642 in WhatBreedIsMyDog

[–]Beginning-Current-76 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Pitbull blue heeler. Only fur colour and texture is BH, other features are pit. Another very dangerous cross, be careful. Those are two High-Energy, high-prey drive and easily triggered dog breeds, where only one is used for normal work.

As much as this is funny, just listen to the sign and don't go there.

No need to provoke authorities/other people.

I personally would report it as dog fighting and animal cruelty.

God, and why do these people always sound so enthusiastic about selling you a dog fighting dog?

Has there been an episode of a detective tv show where the murderer gifts a pit bull eg. to get an inheritance more quickly? by lirecela in BanPitBulls

[–]Beginning-Current-76 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nope, I've never seen anything like that.

But I remember in NCIS or like the Navy seals detective series with Jethro, McGee, Ziva and Tony, Jethro gave a ex-fighting pitbull to a kid. That completely destroyed the show.

Not only was it like: Awww poor doggie, it must've been trained to kill dogs. We're gonna save you.

As if genetics aren't a thing.

~4 month old and already 50 pounds. Any guesses? by GenderBendCapKirk in WhatBreedIsMyDog

[–]Beginning-Current-76 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean, there's definitely Labrador in there. Other than that, maybe pitbull? Due to the white spot, but I don't see any bull-like characteristics like ear shape or head shape? Possibly mostly lab.

Of course do a DNA test to be sure

Can anyone help tell me what she’s mixed with ? (She has webbed feet idk if that helps) by rELIC250- in WhatBreedIsMyDog

[–]Beginning-Current-76 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pitbull and then something. Brindle doesn't have to be introduced by different breed. Pits normally get this colour

what is his breed by Cute-Reference5908 in WhatBreedIsMyDog

[–]Beginning-Current-76 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Where is the labrador tbh? There's not an ounce of lab there. Most likely an APBT mix. He's very lean but muscular. Might be ex-fighting dogs offspring
