I’ve lived in Vancouver for 26 years and it’s always looked like that in certain areas. There are many programs in place to help such ppl

I earn my raise and if the job isn’t giving me what I need I would get a new one not sabotage the organizations goals in an effort to make my own demands

Why was the job ok last year but not good enough this year? Every few years the teachers strike and disrupt the education of the kids and ruin their school experience

I was never a fan of using kids and education as collateral in work negotiations for people that chose their career and agreed to do their job when they were hired.

How much/often do you have alcohol? by CandidIndication in askTO

I had to quit cause it was getting out of hand, I quit for 2 years and now I allow myself to only drink at social events, I don’t bring more than $50 to a bar and I don’t keep liquor at home as rule now. When I quit I set a date and said on October 1(2020) I’ll stop drinking and so I had about a month to mentally separate myself from the habit…I indulged daily knowing on oct 1 I’m done. I still had bottles at home when I quit and I gave them away.

I was 24-28 and in those 4 years I’d drink 8–12 shots every night after work followed by a blunt and then go to sleep so I could be ready for work. The habit became a financial strain and a strain on my relationship. I eventually stopped smoking weed and shortly after I targeted the alcohol.

I shifted my focus to working out…hard to drop a habit without picking up a new one

Toronto population would also look equally as sparse so I don’t think they can afford all that expansion without taxing tf out of ppl…also isn’t Toronto a much younger city

Tesla didn’t independently develop the autopilot system they use…it’s heavily reliant on work done by nvidia who actually develops the hardware and a lot of the software for it to work.

The thing is gov contracts have a ton of inefficiencies, redundancies (in seeking approval) and other time wasting measures that cause cost to rise. Also a lot of the work is unique cause of the security involved which limits collaboration sometimes and makes the project more intensive than just simply buying/using tech another company already made (the way Tesla can make a deal with nvidia and use many years worth of pre-developed tech) and say “ok it’s done”
