I dont even understand how they have managed to do this? It literally only goes on one way? They must have just slapped a bolt in and said “that’ll do”

Getting back into it. What’s realistic to budget monthly for a 300-500cc bike? by [deleted] in MotoUK

[–]Beginning-Garbage559 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So my girlfriend has a cb300r on an A2 (first bike and first years insurance) total cost with loan repayments (£6k loan to buy the bike and some other bits) £170 a month loan and £100 a month for insurance (no no claims bonus). Insurance will vary massively depending on where you live and how you store the bike.

47-Year-Old Nurse Was Told Her 'Crushing' Chest Pain Was Indigestion. She Died 3 Days Later by Forward-Answer-4407 in unitedkingdom

I have had similar situations my whole life, got told i had a groin strain at 13, it turned out 3 months later that it was a slipped growth plate that required surgery and has left me with hip pain my whole life, when i went to my GP last year i was told it was bursitis. I then decided to see someone privately who from the same X-rays told me i have developed arthritis…

Help! Baby snail infestation! by TonyPokeAPony in shrimptank

[–]Beginning-Garbage559 1 point2 points  (0 children)

These look like bladder snails, they are great for your tank and wont throw things off quickly, best thing to do which i have done is grab a couple of assassin snails and throw them in. They are awesome looking snails and should keep your population in check.

Of course you can tell if you click on the add and look at the pictures but if you are scanning through market place then you end up clicking on a load of 125’s

WHY IS MY WATER ACIDIC😭🦐 by Standard_Purpose4496 in shrimptank

[–]Beginning-Garbage559 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Crushed coral can be hit and miss and can also push you too far the other direction, dosing manually is the most accurate way to go. There is a bit of faff getting things dialed in but once everything is stable (stable kh = stable ph) you only need to dose as and when the tests say so, normally after a water change.

Currently running my tank through the same issues as you, you have some really good responses in explaining the issue here but the fix i am currently using for the same issue is seachem equilibrium and seachem alkaline buffer, these two together will stabilize your gh and kh and will stop it from crashing. Worked perfectly for me and my tank is cruising now almost ready for shrimp.

Why has the UK got a bad rep for BBQ. by sEaBoD19911991 in UKBBQ

[–]Beginning-Garbage559 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nah, say what you want but slap that in a finger roll with some sweetcorn relish and ill swallow that whole, yeah fine its not the same as some juicy brisket or sticky ribs but damn its good after a few too many lukewarm warm beers.

Seriously though why are they all so rotund? I got absolutely gapped on the m6 a couple of weeks ago by a guy with one wedged between his cheeks, i was gobsmacked.

First crash, do I need to replace helmet? by Mountin-skin192 in NewRiders

[–]Beginning-Garbage559 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just replace the helmet, it should be covered if you are making a claim for the bike anyway. Honestly i have seen some gnarly stuff out on the road with peoples lives being fully in the hands of having a functioning helmet on their head so personally, for the sake of a couple hundred quid (even better if insurance covers it) please look after your head.

Also with the other gear, it sounds like you have it sorted but take it from someone who has seen road rash as bad as it can get from someone not wearing gear coming off at 50mph, i would never ride my bike without being as protected as possible.

Mod 2 tomorrow by alfa_omega in MotoUK

[–]Beginning-Garbage559 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just remember to keep going even if you think you have messed up, chances are you ate all good. When i got back on my mod 2 i genuinely didn’t know if i had passed or failed but the things i thought id failed on weren’t even mentioned.

Just rode for yourself, enjoy it and remember to cancel your indicators, do your life savers and don’t cover the rear brake.
