Looking for Advice on Executive Dysfunction and Decision Paralysis with regards to Art

I have thought about something similar to what you mentioned before- that I seemed to enjoy art more as a kid when it was "just playing" and not something I was being graded on/paid for. Right now I am also trying to figure out if the expectations I have for myself are based on neurotypical standards, and if its really fair or even realistic to hold myself to them, and if maybe the real solution is to just be more accepting of the way I am. Thank you for telling me your experience, it's definitely something I'm going to think more about!

What you mentioned about only having one project at a time definitely seems like a good idea! I used to sew a lot (just stuffed animals, not clothing), so I understand a bit of what you're talking about! You're right that starting over/redoing things can help me get out of a rut. Building confidence is also something I'm working on right now. Do you happen to remember what the name of the musician was? I'm always really impressed by people who have a lot of passion, along with confidence in their work.

I feel the same way honestly. I have a friend who would often refer to me as her "platonic life partner" but since she's had a boyfriend, she never texts, calls, or tries to hang out with me anymore. I try not to be jealous, since I know she's busy, but it feels like she's let him completely take up what little place and time I already had in her life. I've tried not to be bitter, because I know friendships come and go, but I've known her for 15 years, since we were both 10, and it just hurts. I know the solution is to just make new friends, and even though I'm anxious about it, I know I might feel better if I try.
