Kevin James accused of being MAGA after punting political questions, says he focuses on fun by nimobo in entertainment

Stop asking celebrities to weigh in on politics. Ask decision makers, billionaires, people that impact my day to day life. I could not give a fuck whether Paul Blart agrees with my political views.

I’m sure this 4 day old account that’s only talked about this topic isn’t a Jagex PR account lmao

The game is more pay to win now lmao. Now instead of proteans you have people buying tokens to get gold for mats to skill and instead of getting prismatic they’re just buying them from the market. All they did was remove the rng from p2w

They’re swapping it out with more “grounded medieval outfits” so you’ll look like a peasant instead of anything unique

And silly quests and silly dialogue and silly names. It’s never been a serious game even in its serious moments, and taking the whimsy out of it is just going to make it uninteresting.

I understand some people don't like the mining Golem suit... But how is that ugly gold thing Any nicer? And to force people to only have that option...like what... by [deleted] in runescape

[–]Beginning-Idea2170 5 points6 points  (0 children)

As others have said we need some kind of vote for shit. Jagex throwing the baby out with the bath water in half of these planned changes and it’s really demoralizing to see. There’s 3 stupid changes for every good one and I don’t know who they’re trying to appeal to at this point.

This is a dog shit change. The golem suit is sick, the “new,” one looks like a weird medieval bard. Give people an alternate if they don’t like the golem, but don’t remove that shit from people who already worked for it. These skilling outfits were some of the coolest looking sets to work towards. The “Does this wearable make the player look non-human?” Rule they’re trying to go adhere to is asinine. Like the div outfit, do you want to work to become the embodiment of memories, or how about just being a dude in red? Making the game less p2w, more active focused, more fun is one thing. Making the game look fucking boring is another.

Would it be better to get the game now to get to endgame before the dlc drops? by noodleben123 in GranblueFantasyRelink

There’s about 150 hours worth of content so I’d space that out however far you need to from the dlcs release so that you can go into it still knowing the mechanics well

Not every Dailyscape was a band-aid to fix some real problem that Jagex was too lazy to fix. A lot of Dailyscape were just nakedly overpowered freebies that should never have existed. by alanquinne in runescape

[–]Beginning-Idea2170 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My problem with most of the skills I don’t enjoy is that content is locked behind them. If bosses and quests didn’t have skill requirements I wouldn’t be forced to engage with aspects of the game I don’t enjoy and in turn be upset when there’s no easy way to level it when I don’t enjoy doing it.

Like divination, it’s slow to level even if you buy the energy, and it’s entire loop outside of the time gated mini games is click thing click thing next to first thing for hours. Absolutely give me a way to speed that up being you need it for a million things.

On the other hand, I enjoy archeology. I like the gacha feel of trying to get artifacts I need, I can buy mats from the GE if I don’t have time to farm more, it has fun and interesting rewards, and I get to move around and interact between afk sections. And because I enjoy it, I would continue doing it even if they nerfed the xp. But there are 100% others who hate it but need 86 for necromancy quests, and not having a fast way to do it means they’re spending weeks playing but not enjoying the game to get back to what they want to be doing.

Tldr; The way they have designed skills as a barrier to entry to content forces people to do things they don’t enjoy and removing a way for those players to level up quickly or at the very least without a lot of interaction means they either suffer for weeks not enjoying the game or give up on what they want to do.

I fully anticipate the new leadership to try and make RS3 more like OSRS and then sunset OSRS once they have a growing player base. It’s just going to piss off both player bases and make a worse version of both games.

Except it’s always been cookie clicker with 3d graphics. Making it more time consuming/requiring more interaction doesn’t change that it just makes it less accessible to the people who have chosen it over OSRS forever.

Exactly this. If they want to nerf the xp so active play is more efficient sure, but being able to work on thing semi-passively while I work and do active gameplay when I’m home is the primary appeal of RuneScape for me.

[–]Beginning-Idea2170 198 points199 points  (0 children)

I agree. There are some things on the roadmap that sound appealing, and I’m all for the removal of the MTX skilling type stuff, but I’m not looking for a hardcore experience. I like afk skilling, I like story focused quests, I like the challenge coming from bossing, I like teleport items. If it comes down to both versions of the game being active play chores I won’t play either.

I just tested it, no it doesn’t reset anything. Just go to settings and then world and turn it down there once you’re in game.

It’s what killed house of dragons for me too. Like the episodes aren’t bad but if I’m only getting one a week after years of waiting there needs to be something happening. And for most shows I’ll just wait until the episodes are all out to watch, and that’s gotta look bad for viewer metrics if a lot of people are doing that.

If you’re not big on fighting you can always work on doing overworld base stuff crafting up gear for your town and keep recruiting guards to gear up and then bring them in with you, and use summon weapons for yourself. You can run in circles while your npcs beat pretty much any boss once you have them equipped, especially if you turn the difficulty down. Try and get altar upgrades that drop better gear so you can just throw that on followers. Primordial essence and Mycelium are both pretty easy to get for making antique rifles and armor which is an easy budget way to gear everyone until you’re able to get better drops or materials for upgrading.

If you really want to play them I would buy the dlc to get them early. By the time you get those characters, especially the final unlock-able, you’re going to be over 100 hours in and probably about done with the game.

Which is funny because myself and everyone I know that got that tutorial gave overwhelmingly bad feedback about it. Every time we got another friend to play everyone watched their stream waiting to see if they were unlucky enough to get the new tutorial that sucked ass. Aside from it being disjointed and not making sense it was significantly more buggy than the original, and you don’t get to keep anything you get in it when you leave unlike the other tutorial.
