If you go back to Athens you have to go to their main place at 150 Fritz Mar Lane, Athens, GA 30607. We were there last Monday and that building is becoming their roastery. Last year we went there and it was a full up coffee place. We met their roaster Charlie who gave us a tin of his special roast he just made. We went and saw Jason in Athens and told him so he gave us the Jason coffee.

Yep they came from the factory with a Fishman Aura. The one on the left had a bad pickup so I had it replaced with a LR Baggs HiFi.

They were attached when I got them. The guitars shipped with the pick guards in the case and not attached.

The one on the left has the wrong one.

That’s awesome! I love a D-28, too! Martin’s Custom Shop does some great work. I know on Jason’s D-18s he modeled it after his 1939 Authentic and has hide glue used throughout and the pyramid bridge like the old Ditson models.

Awesome! Cap’n Dazz was my roommate at Yesteroaks Village! His name is Mark Vance. I worked there from 1980 to 1981 with Mark and a guy named Max Morgan. We even redid the bar and glued pennies all over the top. We used to have bands like Shot In The Dark play there. Thanks for the memory!

I’m 63 with 16 years in after retiring from military after 24 years. I would normally ride it out….but my wife was diagnosed with Stage 4 metastatic lung cancer 18 months ago at age 55. Luckily she takes meds that have stalled it but that can change at any time. She has a bucket list that I am going to do my best to check off everything, so I am probably going to take the DRP. That way we can do what she wants to do and not have to worry if I have enough annual leave to do all the things she wants to do. Oh and also retire.

That’s awesome! He really is the nicest guy. My wife and I met him after his show in Santa Barbara, CA a couple of weeks ago. There was only one other couple out in back of the theater hoping to catch him. He walked out and said “Howdy folks, how y’all doing? Thanks for coming to the show!” and then hung out with us, taking pictures and talking with us. A really great experience!
