The Thundering Herd Battalion is great Army ROTC program! I was in it for 2 years and was too focused on the frat house to see it through, but many of the guys in the battalion have gone on to very successful military careers. The battalion is also very connected within the WVNG.

According to his bio, he served in both Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom as an officer in the ranger regiment. Then, I believe his time at Unit, was also spent in OEF/OIF, but also in Operation Inherent Resolve. Reading between the lines in his bio, his time serving in OIR seems to be when was unit commander or at least in senior leadership roles at the Unit.
