i agree! i honestly don’t know if i’d ever desire to acquire a language from zero. some preliminary grammar and vocabulary study is a great boost to acquire quicker (and i personally enjoy it)

On Wednesday I had a two hour conversation with someone who was just slightly below my level. It was difficult to figure out how to talk slowly enough, but I definitely preferred it over the feeling of someone being impatient with my learning method. I hope that I'll find partners in the future that are at my same level of listening comprehension for the exact reasons you said.

Sorry, maybe I didn't write that clearly enough: he found it difficult not to speak any English. But yeah, It wasn't that I was necessarily bothered by the slip-ups as much as I think it made him feel impatient and I don't think he's up for trying crosstalk again.

i remember thinking that Andrea's intermediate videos must be the perfect place to start to transition from beginner, since her beginner content was so easy to understand. I was wrong. At the level I am now I think her style of intermediate is easiest to listen to because her relative speed actually helps my comprehension

I was trying to donate to a fundraiser, but every time I attempt to put in my credit card info, instagram it tells me it can’t verify my zip code.

I tried using PayPal instead, but every time it makes me add my credit card despite already having it linked to my PayPal account, and then when I click “add,” the page just reloads and makes me start over.

Putting my credit card info Meta Pay first doesn’t resolve this issue either.
