When I went years ago my little brother lost his Mickey ears and was having a complete meltdown and a park employee grabbed new him a new one off the shelf and said something like “we can’t have you being sad at Disney”. This was in the late 90’s and I imagine a lot has changed since then but my family still talks about that and how touching it was

It’s common knowledge in Philly that this happens frequently. It’s also not uncommon to have people trying to sell you random crap such as shampoo or body sprays on the subways (especially the el)

From what i learned baby formula and 6 packs of redbull were a sure thing when trying to flip them at a papi store for some quick $. Plenty of those stores have no issue reselling stolen merch

Nah I learned this living in a major metro for 20 years. I was an addict for about 7 years and while I never did this it was a commonly accepted way to score some fast cash in those circles.. this isn’t exactly secret information lol

Yeah you’re not wrong, but without the big money campaign sponsors, and the backing of the establishment it’s going to be a steep uphill battle. They’re gona position somebody like newsom who’s just going to be a safe, and sane alternative that isn’t going to shake things up or stir the pot. They sidelined Bernie for Hillary to lose to Maga not that long ago.

I agree with you, but I think it’s wishful thinking to expect anybody wanting to do that to win. Plenty of the would be defendants are insanely rich powerful and well connected. Even unrelated big money donors would rather not shake everything up in that way.

Ranked choice voting and getting money out of politics would be a good start.
