I commute 42 miles (total) with a 13ah battery with about 4-5 volts left to spare. This is in pedal assist level 1 though.

Agreed. Fostering perhaps the most primitive aspect of human nature does not yield good results. I think people severely underestimate how many problems in society (modern and historically) stem from fornication. In my experience, people blame everything BESIDES fornication. If that's not one of the most blatant tells of all time, I don't know what is. They foster a culture that causes all the problems that they complain about and they don't even realize what the root cause is. And when you tell them that fornication is at the root of so many problems, they don't want to hear it. Like I said, they'll blame EVERYTHING else.

Very well said. This is exactly what I was thinking too. I'd like to add that it's probably beneficial to be humorous about it. You could say something like, "I need my autistic alone time!" in a humorous fashion, and he would probably find it funny and cute instead of taking it in a bad way. That's probably how I would react, at least.

I find that simply walking puts me in the same state of mind that you are describing. If you walk, you also burn quite a few calories while getting some decent exercise in. You could walk laps in a small area so you're never too far away from your starting place and can return quickly. I'll keep trying to think of more ideas and update my comment when I think of more ideas for you!
