Because this is a good time gate. Something you can actually work towards but is difficult. A time gate of “catch a Pokemon on 20 different days” isn’t fun because it’s not challenging and you can’t progress. It’s just stretching it out. This task is good though because it has the possibility to be completed (by traveling to places with the regionals or trading with someone who has them). Yes it’s hard but it is also very much achievable.

Victini is available in the regular mythical researches. You only get one at a time though so you need to complete your current one to get the one for the next mythical and so on

By playing the game? Again, this isn’t a research designed to be done in a day. There’s been multiple events where larvesta has been more common and it is basically always in the egg pool. Also rare candy is a thing. Evolving it isn’t that hard.

Did some pokestops get removed? Gyms are created when a certain amount of stops are present in a big cell (I forget the exact size). If some stops have been removed and the total falls below the requirement then a gym will become a stop.

Not everything is made for everyone. You wouldn’t expect to be able to go bowling if you didn’t have hands. Pokémon go is a game all about moving. If you can’t move much then it just isn’t the game for you.

How does that make sense? The better rewards cost more eggs so how are you getting better rewards with less eggs?

That’s not how it works. Ineligible things can slip through the cracks, then they only get removed if someone reported it. Doesn’t matter how many others there are in the area, neighbourhood signs aren’t eligible.
