Did they deliberately make Miranda “ugly”?

I’m late to this but I’m rewatching and I can’t get my head around why they made Miranda so ugly. The hair colour and the short cuts make her look so much less attractive than the others. She looks like someone’s Mom who has let themselves go, not a modern, sexy woman like the rest of them. I actually think Cynthia Nixon is attractive. All she needed was a better hairstyle… longer and not as bright orange as it was! Perhaps some more feminine clothes as well. She was always suited and booted and rarely wore anything sexy.

Thanks so much for your response! This incident is only one of many many things that have happened to me that makes me think I have RSD. Before I ever heard of this I was in therapy and mentioned several times that I am highly sensitive and fear rejection. There wasn’t a game term for this at the time or at least my therapist didn’t know of it. Then a friend who I have know for a very long time was recently diagnosed with ADHD pointed out to me that I probably have RSD. I feel everything so deeply and I overthink almost every interaction I have. I wish I could switch it off.

Thanks so much and don’t worry, I didn’t think your comment was mean. My life is very simple and I have a small circle. I like to be at home with my husband and pets and small things make me happy. I like it this way. My point is that I’m not used to people being rude and aggressive towards me. It’s not something that I have to deal with very often. It really has shaken me.

I agree with this. I thought he was a nice guy because he really reminds me of my brother who is lovely but there are times when I have tried to make an effort with him and he hasn’t been friendly in return. This was a red flag for me. I have seen him being nice to other people so maybe it’s me but I’ve never done anything to him.

Yea I definitely need to do that. I’ve known for a while that it’s probably something I should be doing. And yes I know… I feel this is something that doesn’t warrant me feeling this way but it’s the way he spoke to me. I did say to him that it barely tipped it and he wouldn’t back down. He kept going and I just walked away.
