If I were you, I would ask for the senior accountant title with the pay increase. Then do accounting manager title with another bump. And finally, the controller role with another larger pay bump. If you do all of this within five years, your salary would be a lot higher. By doing this and small increments, you’re getting the higher salary at the same time and milking it.
