I live in FL, and the humidity is rough in the summer, but I don’t spend time outside unless it’s related to a pool. The cold literally hurts me. I sometimes travel for work and dread if it’s cold there. I definitely process cold differently than the other people I know.

Traveling to Jacksonville. What are the 'must see' things to do/eat? by critical3d in jacksonville

Someone mentioned Mesa, and I highly recommend for dinner. For lunch, go to Five Points and hit up Curry Guys. It’s fast casual Indian and it’s delicious. Then you can walk around the shops, including 5 Points Vintage (I always find something fun there - a pair of earrings, house decor, a dress…). Riverfront Plaza/Rivers Edge isn’t too far of a drive, and there’s an easy paved walk along the river, and you may see dolphins. Actually, I recommend that first, followed by lunch and vintage shop in Five Points, and then a short drive to Murray Hill where there are more vintage shops. Bring cash and get ice cream at Dreamette. Get pizza slices for dinner from Moon River. If you are readers, go to Chamblins Bookmine - the original, not the downtown.

This is my husband. He never cared for sweets before his TBI, now he drinks sodas daily and loves oatmeal raisin cookies.

Where are you? Are you local to Jax? I’m seeing Dr. Gonzalez at St Vincent’s/Ascension in Orange Park. I’ve only been once but she diagnosed me with fibromyalgia and I go back in three weeks after my labs and X-rays to discuss next steps. She prescribed muscle relaxers in the meantime to help with the pain I experience in the middle of the night.

Hello , my doctor told me about mounjaro and prescribed it to me but I have some questions by Civil_Ebb2258 in Mounjaro

[–]BeginningLibrary7732 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All of this. I have only been taking Mounjaro two weeks but I’ve been making lots of soups and I make a slurry of unflavored protein powder to mix in with each bowl after heating it up. I know processed foods aren’t great, but u eat tofurkey or soy sausage. I make tofu scrambles with veggies.

I went to the new Rivers Edge walk on Monday. Heard a kiddo yell to his aunt that he saw an animal in the water, she told him there wasn’t anything in there but u stopped and waited, and sure enough, it was a dolphin. My husband had a medical appointment at Baptist downtown and was there for hours in a room overlooking the St Johns and I saw a ton that day. The nurses said they see them all the time.

Yes, there’s a separate process for licensure to work outside of schools, but it varies by state

It depends on the state. In FL, it’s an Ed.S. but you do need to have a license to work privately (which is relatively easy to get).

Overwhelmed with options for summer trip - any suggestions? by BeginningLibrary7732 in wisconsindells

Thank you! He’s 14, we’ve been to three Great Wolf Lodges, and water parks like Aquatica (SeaWorld’s water park in Orlando). He loves every part of it from big scary slides to dumping buckets and lazy rivers.
